  1. Depends, just post a picture of how far you got and what you have. But I suppose you can just finish the one you have
  2. This place has plenty of helpfull people. I have learned my share of model building advice myself
  3. Yep I'm done with it.
  4. YOu can use your rat rod. Its fine with me. If anyone has a problem with it just pm me.
  5. Just as the title says. This is just for fun. If there is any sign of fighting, I will close the topic. Rules: Your model has to be finished by the end of August. You can start when ever you want. Has to be styrene. NO DIECAST! Must have 3-4 wheels. Shiney, rusty, or inbetween. (flats, bare plastic, etc.) Anything is available on the model. Just remember, this is a Rat Rod or spare parts build. I will pick the judges and will give notification to the judges, including me, and you builders. If one of the judges is going to build a model, they cannot pick their model. We will judge by, originality, paint, usage of parts, skill level, and age. I would expect more from the expert model builders than a 12 year old. Any body, any year, any engine. Anything. Give me a PM notification or post here if you are going to join. Have fun! 6. This is what I got so far. Its the Beatnick Bandit with some modifications. Going to pull off a 60's roll bar... The 426 in it's first coat of Chrysler Engine Red. The tail. I sanded the bullets off. Here's the chassis. It needs some mods but it will be good enough for now. Praises and critisisms appreciated.
  7. Complete topic gone to waste!
  8. You use all your spare model parts to build a model without buying anything.
  9. Hmmm....Wrong scrapple... LOL I love the pork butt though
  10. Yep, I need inspiration. So please post you scraps here and please, give me some inspiration...
  11. It started as just some dirt and flat tan paint. Then I added some tires, attempts to cross the flats, and some chain link. The fence was found today at school. There was something on the ground and it look like fence so I picked it up and brought it home. The front end of the mustang is from the GT350R. I know it's painted red and all but I didn't really care about paint back then... The tailgate and steering wheel is from a '55 Nomad. I add them with some super glue then put superglue around the edges for some dust. I used toothpicks for the fence posts. The steering wheel. Don't look like one but trust me, it is.
  12. He lives in Hawaii. I bet hawaii has never got snow in the history of earth...
  13. Haha I dont follow link at all. Nice job on the model though
  14. I was fooling around with the camera today and took this picture outside. if you look closely, you can see some chain link fence in the back ground. You can see that it's a model in some areas, but if you don't think 'bout it, it looks like a real '70 429 out in the desert.
  15. Welp here it is. I just need the radiator and the hose. And the new dio. I was just randomly painting and I painted tan. I have no idea why it did what it did. I think it looks like the desert.
  16. Here's the body after a failed attempt to use primer. I used enamel primer on laquer paint. Wrinkled. It spent a few hours in the purple pond, the white on the body is where I sanded it.
  17. Got some done. I cut off the muffler and mounts to the headers on the exhaust. Since I am using the Saleen SS351 engine (I know the box says S281, but the engine says S351) I have to use the header mounts from the Saleen exhaust. I cut the Bullitt Mustang mounts off and super glued the Saleen mounts on. Saleen mounts on the Bullitt exhaust. The muffler. I had to cut the Saleen exhaust into like 400 (exaggeration) pieces. The mounts on the chassis were bondoed because I'm not using the original exhaust. The steering wheel I plan to use. Not chrome, I will strip the chrome and paint black or the color of the interior.
  18. Guys, that 5.0, it's a real car. I meant for this to be a real car engine topic.
  19. I got one, my favorite engine, in the backyard of my house. I introduce you to 1988 Ford Mustang 5.0! Post your favorite engines and post pics if you got 'em.
  20. That's exactly what I did. Don't say what you don't know....(To MainDrian.)
