I finally started mine. 1986 Chevy El Camino with a mortar sticking out the window. Here's what I have done so far.
I chopped the tailgate off.
I cut a hole in the window for the mortar.
It should fit like this.
These are the two kits I'm using.
I did some more work today. I stripe deleted it.
The hood.
The body.
The front bumper.
The engine. Yes, I wasn't paying attention to the instructions and put the headers on backwards. Right on left, left on right.
I tried painting it blue but it wouldnt stick. ( I dont use primer, mostly because I don't have any) I windexed it and 409ed it and made some of it come off. So then I painted it red. There's still some blue underneath it and it is in the darker places. I have finished the front bumper and put windows in. I'll post pics in a bit.
I got this build for Christmas and I built alot of it already.
The wheels, with the SVT logo on them.
The body, cruddy paint I know.
The (hand painted logo) grille.
The hood and all of the parts that I have done.
Thanks for looking and all comments appreciated. (Or however you spell it.)
Have you ever had boring builds? I am buiding a B-29 Superfortress and it is as boring as walking around a girl department store with your mom. What should I do? I want to throw it away but I don't because I want to finish it. HELP ME!!!
