  1. OK, so like I mentioned, I got the correct wheels and tires from WCBrown (Bill) great guy!!!! I was getting ready to put her up on the shelf for a while and then I got the correct wheels and got some painting and decals done. Can someone fill me in on how to get the centers of these the proper gold color? Is there supposed to be a little touch of black in there as well? Some progress pics....... Thanks for looking guys!!!!
  2. Great choice on chopping the roof, that is the first thing I thought when I read/seen the first post/pictures. Going to be beautiful!
  3. Was not sure about this one at first, but the more you do the more I like. Awesome work is an understatement.
  4. Awesome work! I love checking on this build!!!
  5. Very, very nice my friend!!!! Agreed with Bill, hope I can nail my stance like you have done with all of yours!!!!
  6. Thanks Guys!!! Art, I'm sure they can be made to work, just a little beyond my skill level.I got an orginal set from another member on here in the mail yesterday. So we should see progress maybe today.............
  7. Very nice! I hope mine turns out just a portion of how nice this one is!
  8. Good! I wanna see this thing finished! And a BIG thanks again sir for your help to me!!!!
  9. I did some researching online before I got this kit. I was going through some 80's to 90's pro street withdrawals! I found lots of pictures of the car on YellowBullet as well. To me the most current looking one (only because of the tacky airbrushing done on it) is this. Looks like it is sitting in someones living room. I also tried to contact Matt on FaceBook and asked him if he still owned it or knew where it was, I never got a response.
  10. The old Monogram "Black Rat" '65 Corvette has the wheels you are looking for!
  11. Well, this one has kinda stalled a bit as I have been distracted by other projects! At least she is sitting on all fours now! Cannot remember the brand of these wheels but I attempted cleaning the flashing off of them, it is VERY time consuming.
  12. That thing is going to be absolutely beautiful!!!!! I'm watching this one as well, heckuva job on saving that beater!!!
  13. Thanks, one my downfalls is I tend to rush the chassis stuff. More updates!!!! Paint and decals!!!!!! And that's where we are at for now. As always comments and suggestions welcome! Thanks!
  14. Nice!!! Cannot wait to see more of this one!!!!
  15. Started this one a while ago and is turning OK I guess. Would like for some places to be a little more clean but all in all I am satisfied with it. It's for my 6 year old daughter who wanted me to build her a pink car. I have always loved this car anyways! Comments and suggestions welcome!!!! The beggining stages...... More to come!!!
  16. Yes sir! Converted Chevy man! LOL!
  17. I cannot remember, I know it was off of e-Bay. I'll look at the brand and get some pictures and post them up for you!
  18. Gonna be nice when your done, just like the others!!!! I had this Folgers car when I was a kid. That's the what lead me to the Motorcraft one I am working on. I wish I had the correct wheels to go on it though, the two aftermarket sets I got are giving me fits! Great work Danny!
  19. HA! It's going! Slowly, unfortunately. Was not able to use the wheels, so I got some resin ones. Cleaning all the flashing out of them is a PITA!!!! I've been buying lately, mostly old NASCAR's I've bought 5-6 in the last two weeks! Also working on Matt and Debbid Hayes Pro street T-Bird which I'm going to do a "Workbench" thread on here as soon as I get the pics loaded up. As a matter of fact I've also been working on a larger scale mustang, both of these for my 6 year old daughter which is why this project has slowed down. Thanks for checking on me man!!!!
  20. I'm the same way, the one time I did not clear over them, they lasted about 10 years (not bad I guess) but they did start flaking off.
  21. How did you make this? I have been wanting to do a copy of my full scale '86 GT. Would love to know!!!
  22. Looks great! I'm going to have to catch up! I'm doing the Pruett Motorcraft car right now.
  23. Should be a pretty cool car when you are done!
  24. Ok, so for some pics, sorry for the quality, my camera was not cooperating last night. Got some detailing done, and some of the cockpit painted and mocked up for the time being, This pic should also show the problem I am having with the wheels and the spindles/rear axle. I have two male peices if that makes sense. The car/chassis is made for the wheels to snap on to the stud and the wheels are made to snap into a whole on the car/chassis. I have a few ideas but would like some ideas! Thanks guys!!!! Just some other projects still sitting on the bench.........................
