I don't think so...they're not connected to anything! Anyone out there know what they're supposed to be? I have no idea. My real '67 in the garage doesn't have them...

I have this kit too, and I've always wondered... Under the hood, what the heck are those 2 weird hoselike shapes on the top of the right fenderwell supposed to be???

A small suggestion: those little "strips" below the head and taillights should be chrome...I'd put a little BMF on there...

Acrylic paint can be thinned with plain old water.

I may be in the minority here, but I liked the R&R section. I learned a lot about the personalities of many of you who posted there. It gave me a more well-rounded picture of some of you guys, not just the "model building" side, and in that regard I think it actually made our little "family" here more interesting. And as for those who were offended by the political posts there, I have one simple question: Why did you go there and read them???? Seems to me that if I was the sort who was offended by political posts, I simply wouldn't go to the section where I KNOW they are and read them! Since the "offensive" posts were limited to a specifically defined area, I really see no reason why anyone who found that sort of thing offensive should go there on purpose just to be "offended"! Having said all that, however, I want to add that even though I liked the R&R section, I fully support Gregg's decision. The bottom line is, there are plenty of places online where political posts are more appropriate, and even sought out. If the removal of the R&R section makes this place a better modeling forum for those members who were offended by its presence, or thought it was inappropriate, then I'm all for the decision to remove it.

It would be a lot easier to get it lower if you lose the cartoon wheels and go with something a little more realistic.

Personally I never liked the look of those Fiesta caps. So if you have a duel of classics here, the steelies win big time in my world!!! I know that red steelies with trim rings aren't exactly a brand new idea... but they look cool. How about making them body color instead of red??? That would be a little less of a common look.

I agree with you. The DM 'vette, while "only" 1/12, is more detailed, for $300 less, including operating top, lights, etc. But at 1/6, this thing has to be impressive sitting on a shelf!

Gotcha! Yes, it's 1/6. It's from Highway 61, and it's a DIECAST! (Yes, diecasts ARE models!!!) It's 28 inches long and weighs about 35 pounds! This is the first 1/6 scale model from that company, maybe more to come? The price: $800!
