  1. I saw that same black Tesla again this morning. That's about the third or fourth time I've seen it around here. The guy obviously lives either in my town or very close. What a great looking car. It's just beautiful.
  2. It makes you feel good!
  3. As a moderator I have to be careful...
  4. On a semi-related note... When you get the typical junk mail pushing the latest credit card, life insurance, AARP or NRA membership... whatever... if it includes a postage-paid return envelope, nothing more satisfying than stuffing everything that was included in that junk mail (without filling out any information, of course) and sending it all back in that postage paid envelope.
  5. It has to do with the... um... "output" of a man...
  6. The trunk kit came today–one day earlier than it was supposed to. Woo Hoo!!! Here it is: It looks like a very nice kit. Included are all the pre-cut wood parts for the trunk walls and the various straps and crosspieces, paper sheets with printed patterns on it for the outside of the trunk, also printed paper for the inside... material for the straps and handles, and a bunch of beautiful photoetched hardware, plus instruction booklet: The PE hardware is really nicely done: The only problem is that this kit is 1/12 scale and my model is 1/16... so the trunk is too big. Not a big deal, though. Since it's a kit and not a preassembled trunk, I can easily cut down all the pieces and make mine slightly smaller all around, to fit the back of the De Dion perfectly.
  7. Yes, this is the image as I found it. Somebody Photoshopped it, but not me. In fact I didn't even notice the headless guy until it was pointed out!
  8. His voice is kind of buried in that recording, but still cool. I have had a long-standing personal rule... any song that has a harmonica part in it is a good song. My rule has held true for me about 99% of the time... Stevie Ray Vaughan, Pride and Joy.
  9. "It would cause me pain if we were to end it. But I could start again, you can depend on it"...
  10. "We are always wanting things we cannot find. You know that we are always wasting time"...
  11. "She's a sad tomato, She's three miles of bad road"... Way too late, Carl!
  12. Nope. But a wild guess would be another AC/DC song?
  13. Probably my favorite Warren Zevon song. Either that or Turbulence. Both from the same album (but you knew that!)...
  14. 1960 Ford Falcon, sort of a turquoise/aquamarine color. My dad's first car, and the first car I can remember being in. 1960-something big Chrysler, the one that had the big glass "bubble" dash with the luminescent gauges. My mom's cousin's car. I still remember that dashboard to this day. 1967 Impala. My mom's cousin's son's car (is that still my relative? )... Evening Orchid with a white interior. Man, what a sharp looking car. Again, to this day I remember that car, even though I was just a little kid when I saw it. 1967 Plymouth Belvedere. My first car. Got it from my dad when it was ten years old.
  15. "And if you see the dark clouds gathering out on the horizon, Don't be alarmed, they're just there for me"...
  16. But true!
  17. I have socks in my drawer older than you...
  18. "Well you can talk about your perestroika, And that's all right for you"...
  19. "I want to live alone in the desert. I want to be like Georgia O'Keefe"...
  20. Hell's Bells, AC/DC. I'm a fan...
  21. Correct. What would be the point of me altering the image? The only changes I ever make is to either resize or crop the image when necessary, and sometimes I'll fix the color balance or sharpen the image a bit... but I don't change or alter or add or delete anything that wasn't there in the photo as I found it, aside from blurring or blacking out any identifying badges or logos or license plates.
