  2. Nothing. We're playing the game on the honor system.
  3. Last summer my son and I went to a local auto museum and they had a 1933 Duesenberg exactly like this on display: To see a car like that in person is a real experience. First of all, it's huge! The headlights are the size of a small pizza. And the thing looked so perfect, so solid and tight... like a bank vault. The door hinges were so precise and perfect... like fine jewelry. You couldn't help but notice the precision and the craftsmanship of the car. They really don't make cars like that anymore.
  4. The latest trend is that phones are getting bigger. Remember just a few years ago, they were making a big deal about how the latest and greatest cell phone is smaller than the previous one. Now, the TV commercials show how much bigger the iphone 6 is compared to the last one! What's old is new again. Or what goes around, comes around. Or something like that...
  5. The kit has rear brake drums, but no linkages, so here are a few scratchbuilt components for the brake and shift linkages (the black painted parts are kit parts). The brake rods will be made of brass rod once I have the linkages painted and installed... and I can measure for the rod lengths:
  6. "Life is a short, warm moment, and death is a long, cold rest. You get your chance to try in the twinkling of an eye, eighty years, with luck... or even less."
  7. "The time has come, and that's a fact. It belongs to them, let's give it back."
  8. Dire Straits, Money for Nothing.
  9. No, I don't have that one. Murmur is the first of theirs that I have. Edit: I looked up "Hindu Love Gods," it wasn't one of their early albums. Their first album ("Murmur") came out in 1983, HLG came out in 1990. And it technically wasn't a "real" REM album, but a side project with Mills, Buck, and Berry with Warren Zevon. I'll have to check out some of the songs on youtube. It sounds interesting!
  10. I'm no metallurgist either, but the two types of brass must have a different composition, because they react to bending very differently.
  11. Mine too. And one of my favorite bands.
  12. "Creature comfort goals, they only numb my soul and make it hard for me to see. My thoughts all seem to stray to places far away, I need a change of scenery."
  13. "Well, I've never been to England, But I kind of like the Beatles. So I headed for Las Vegas, Only made it out to Needles."
  14. "Looking at your watch a third time, waiting in the station for the bus"...
  15. A blonde comes home to find her roommate laying apparently lifeless on the couch. She shakes her roommate, but can't waken here, so she calls 911 in a panic. "911! I think my roommate is dead! I can't wake her up! What should I do?" The 911 operator answers very matter-of-factly, "Don't panic, ma'am. First of all we have to be sure she's actually dead." The 911 operator doesn't hear any response, but several seconds hears what sounds like a gunshot. The blonde comes back on the line. "Ok... what do I do next?"
  16. Guy walks into his doctor's office. "Doc, I can't get the song 'She's a Lady' out of my head! I hear it everywhere I go!" Doc says, "Sounds like 'Tom Jones Syndrome'." "It is common?" "It's not unusual"...
  17. You're a maniac. And I mean that in a good way! I am severely impressed.

    32 Ford

If that's only the third model you've ever built, I'd say you're in pretty good shape.
  19. Several fake Tuckers on 1974 GM chassis were built for the movie.
  20. It depends on one's own particular viewpoint.
  21. That's a fine looking model... Probably too late now, but you really should have drilled out the horns so they don't have a solid front.
