  4. This is another one of those questions with no answer... like "What's the best flavor of ice cream" or "What's the best muscle car?" Since everyone will have a different opinion as to which airbrush is the "best," and there really is no one "best" airbrush, I won't name any specific brand. But I will say that you should get the best airbrush you can afford right up front, and that airbrush should be a double-action model. Here's why... A cheap single action airbrush (single action being the type where you can't really adjust the ratio of air to paint... you pull the trigger and it sprays, like a spray can) can give you a nice paint job, but it's limited in what it can do. A double-action airbrush lets you control the air and the paint independently. You pull back on the trigger to spray air and you push down to release the paint. A double-action model lets you do a lot more, because you have total control over the spray action and how much paint the airbrush is putting out. You might not need the capabilities of a double-action airbrush right away... but as you get more into airbrushing, you're going to want that extra control... so better to buy one in the first place. A cheap "starter" airbrush costs less up front, but the odds are you'll soon outgrow it and want a better one... so why not buy the good one up front? It costs less than buying a "starter" model and a better one down the road. A good airbrush, taken care of, will last literally a lifetime. You may have to replace a seal or two down the road one day, but the airbrush itself will outlast you.
  5. There. That covers it!
  6. I don't think we could possibly get any more off topic!
  7. Witnesses can be very unreliable. They say the car was going 80-100... the fact is they probably had no real idea how fast the car was actually going. A better name for some witnesses would be "witlesses." Look at that shooting in Ferguson. There are "eyewitness" accounts of what happened that completely contradict each other.
  8. The old "belt and suspenders" approach.
  9. Finish up the October issue of a certain magazine.
  10. Hybrids are just a temporary stopgap. Internal combustion, gas-powered cars are living on borrowed time. They might not disappear in our lifetimes, but they will disappear.
  11. Just in case my restaurant analogy didn't work for some of you, here's another one. Let's say a guy named Gregg invites you to a party at his house. And you go to the party. You show up, you drink the drinks he provided, you eat the food he provided, you listen to the music he provided... all of which this guy named Gregg payed for and you didn't. You're a guest in Gregg's house, courtesy of Gregg, and you're taking full advantage of Gregg's hospitality, all of which he provided to you at his own expense and trouble. And you go around telling all of Gregg's other guests about the great party down the street, while you're a guest at Gregg's party. It's just bad form. Get it now?
  12. It's not so much about economical. It's about sustainable. There are plenty of gas-powered cars available that get good mileage, but good mileage isn't the point. Gas-powered is the point.
  13. You're 17. Your opinions will change. I guarantee it.
  14. Bill, thanks for that post. I didn't realize how cozy Tesla is with the feds. But even so, I admire Elon Musk. The guy has it going on upstairs. We could use a lot more forward-thinking types like him.
  15. Precisely. Why do some not understand that?
  16. They're starting to get a foothold. Just think if they were priced at half what they go for. We'd be seeing them everywhere.
  17. One of the best anti-drug songs ever... "Before you find out it's too late, girl, you better get straight."
  18. "I'll be in my basement room with a needle and a spoon... And another girl to take my pain away"...
  19. "Then she lit up a candle... and she showed me the way"...
  20. "Wait a minute, there's something wrong here. My key won't unlock this door."
  21. "Those were the best days of my life."
  22. Put military stuff in "All the Rest."
