  1. And Brad Delp. No Delp... no Boston. Although the chick that plays bass now is kinda easy on the eyes...
  2. Yes! That's it. He was amazing in that.
  3. I know RW was known as a comic genius... and he absolutely was. Whether it was stand-up, comedic acting, impressions... you name it, he was great at it. But the thing that most impresses me about his talent is the fact that he could play a dead serious part as well as a comedic part. I don't remember the name of the movie... I saw it many years ago, sorry... the name escapes me... but he played a guy who worked at the local pharmacy's photo counter. He played sort of a creepy yet sympathetic character. He was freaking brilliant in the role. About as far from "Robin Williams" as you can possibly get... but he nailed it. I'm sure someone here knows the movie I mean... please post the title.
  4. What they said. Beautiful! It looks like you added a black wash to the grille. That adds so much realism and is so easy to do... I'm amazed at how many people don't bother, and it makes their model looks very toy-like.
  5. I saw the same black Tesla that I saw a few days ago. Apparently the guy lives near me somewhere.
  6. Right! Jimmy Page joined the Yardbirds in 1966; soon after, the Yardbirds crashed and burned... but they still had concert dates in Scandinavia that they were under contract to play. So JP gathered up a few of his pals (Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham) and fulfilled the Yardbirds' contract by playing those dates in 1968 as the "New Yardbirds." Then Chris Dreja (a member of the Yardbirds before their implosion) had his lawyer issue a "cease and desist" order that stated that the name "New Yardbirds" could only be used to fulfill those Scandinavian concert dates, and not further. And so the band "Led Zeppelin" was born. Interesting story...
  7. Did you see the photos of the real car?
  8. The national news services have reported it.
  9. Very cool "old school" custom. Man, Tulio... you have a very impressive collection!
  10. Sad. A talented man, but also a man who had to battle inner demons... and apparently lost.
  11. Just heard...
  12. One of your best! (and they are all good!) The paint is beautiful... heck, the whole model is beautiful! I like your paint jobs. They're shiny and smooth, but they look realistic for the era... none of that "20 coats of clear" business. Very nicely done.
  13. That's cool! Very creative and very nicely done. The subtle details like the wheels and taillights tell you this is no "ordinary" Ford even before you open her up...
  14. Just curious... are you building this in pretty much the same order as a real one would be done? I'm curious about you planned this out, so that any parts you install won't get in the way of any later parts or assemblies. I guess my question is... did you pre-plan the assembly sequence?
  15. Blue distributor?
  16. You guys are lucky. I didn't have the money to buy a car in HS...and I sure could never have afforded the insurance! The only cars I ever drove then were the cars in Driver's Ed class! I didn't actually get a car until I was halfway through college...
  17. I think that's exactly right. I think Stewart was intending to drive close past the kid to give him the message that "Hey, I'm Tony Freaking Stewart and you're just some punk kid and you aren't going to show me up".... but the car got away from Stewart. Both drivers are guilty of being hotheads. What Stewart did in the first place to force the other guy into the wall, as far as I understand, is a perfectly acceptable racing move, and the kid had no reason to jump out of his car and make a scene. And Stewart, being a veteran driver, should have known better than to try and send the kid a "message" by zooming past him that closely. Both guys overreacted, but I don't believe that Stewart deliberately tried to hit the kid.
  18. Very nice! But why didn't you fix the sink marks on the rear wing?
  19. As said previously... if the kid had stayed in his car this would never have happened. Getting out of your car, walking onto a track where a race is taking place and there are race cars flying by, in order to "confront" Tony Stewart or whatever it is he intended to do, was major league stupid.
  20. They should have called it the Auto World Auto Melter!
  21. Remember, don't post any hints or answers here! PM me with year, make and model. The answer: 1929-33 Majestic
