  1. You took my reply away from me! Exactly! There's no need for any "scale calculator," any calculator will do it. It's just basic math. To figure out how big a 6" part would be in 1/25 scale, simply divide 6 by 25. If you want to know how long a 119" wheelbase should be in 1/12 scale, divide 119 by 12. It works for any scale, because "scale" is just another word for "proportion," it's not some sort of model-car-only concept. Take the full size dimension and divide it by the scale you want the answer in. Any scale.
  2. But the thing is, they stop counting after a certain date. We're already technically in Spring, so yesterday's snow doesn't get counted as part of last winter's total. I think the actual "official" winter snowfall total was the third highest in history for this area.
  3. I haven't checked this thread in a while (been busy fixing the toilet! ). Actually, I really did do some work in the master bath (new sink and faucet, but no toilet work)... Anyhow... I like what I'm seeing. I do agree with Eric that the weathered exhaust system seems a little at odds with the pristine frame... I would expect to see weathering either on all the chassis components or on none... but that's just me. I'm certainly no RR expert. But as far as "personalizing" your Rolls with your own personal color scheme, that's completely "authentic"... if you were buying this car back in the day you would be specifying your own choices for colors, upholstery, etc.
  4. Show rods... the "Miley Cyrus" of the automotive world...
  5. Our "official" snowfall total yesterday: 1.5 inches. Can winter be over now? Pleeeeeeeeez???
  6. Beautiful work, Tulio. How did you do the gold pinstripe?
  7. Sounds to me like it would taste sort of ratty...
  8. 6 PM, April 14, northwest Chicago suburbs... This is not a joke.
  9. No, the sad fact is that this sort of nonsense is the rule here, not the exception. But when everyone was out and about on Saturday, and we were all just hanging out and talking with the neighbors, etc, and it was 80 degrees... I guess we all actually believed that winter really was finally over. I've lived here almost all my life. I should have known better than to be fooled into thinking an 80 degree day meant "spring is here!"
  10. 5:45... Still snowing like crazy. And it's sticking. Hard to believe it was 80 degrees just two days ago!
  11. 3:14 PM, Monday, April 14... halfway to May. It's snowing.
  12. That's just depressing. Our snow is still on the way. We're supposed to get anywhere from a "dusting" to an inch overnight.
  13. In Chicago not even death stops you from voting early and voting often.
  14. If you know the answer (you know the source of the photo), do not tell us here! That ruins the game for everyone else. The answer: MODEL
  15. With Saturday's high actually hitting 80 here, I figured ok... winter has to be over, right? I mean, it's halfway to May, fer cryin' out loud! But what a change today. Saturday: Sunny, breezy, high of 80. Pretty much a "10" as far as weather goes. Today (Sunday): the "high" was the overnight low (64)... and the temp has been sinking like the Titanic ever since. Currently in the 40s. Tomorrow (Monday): Chance of snow. Yep. The dreaded "S word" rears its ugly head again!
  16. There aren't enough flames in the world to help that thing!!!
  17. When did the "pound" symbol (#) become "hashtag?" And why was I not asked my opinion before the changeover? BTW... "Hashtag" would be a great name for a band...
  18. "Is this area of the board just for Questions?" No.
  19. What does this post have to do with the subject at hand? If you're only going to post stuff completely unrelated to the topic, better not to post at all.
  20. I looked it up and Aluminum Jelly seems to be the preferred product.
  21. Not if you ordered the "Retro" package...
  22. No engine pix?
