  1. General fitness level is ok. I mean, I'm no Arnold Schwartzenegger, but I do ok for a guy my age.
  2. The only problem is I can't even remotely afford any of those cars! Guess I'll stick with my good old Mustang GT with the bear-trap clutch and the painful leg... Why do they have to make the clutch so stiff anyway? Japanese cars have feather-light clutches, but for some reason American "muscle cars" have clutches so stiff you practically need two legs to operate them!
  3. This is strictly my opinion, not any sort of "official" forum rule... but I think the best way to present one's work is for it to be shot against a neutral background, so that the model, and the model alone, is the "star." That being said, I have no problem with "artistic" photos that may have been Photoshopped, so I don't think you need to apologize to anyone. But in my opinion, the model should be the only thing in the photo.
  4. But in any case, the tractor would have air and electric lines, right?
  5. Oh, I see. Didn't know they released kits with paint and glue included. Thanks for the explanation.
  6. Very cool! Well executed, clean, crisp, and sharp. Love the color scheme and the way you matched up the lower body color with the wheels. Nicely done. Me likee! But what's up with the "POLICE" license plate?
  7. I'm not familiar with trucks, so pardon the possibly dumb question... but don't all tractors have some sort of gizmo mounted right behind the cab ("pogo stick") with the air and electric lines to hook up to the trailer? Does this kit not include that detail?
  8. Oh yeah, almost forgot... beautiful photos.
  9. Very cool! I especially like the way you did the rust and peeling paint on the visor. Very realistic. How did you do that?
  10. Very nicely done! I like the drag chute detail, most people leave off the chute lines. My only critique would be that you should have removed the mold seam lines from the rear push bar.
  11. Can anyone explain why the first two rows of kits on this page seem to be the same identical kits, but with different prices? http://www.heller.fr/en/maquettes/46-new-products
  12. That's really cool! I like the look.
  13. That's exactly my problem. It's very hard to drive my car because of the pain in my left leg.
  14. Another typical Chuck Most beauty.
  15. Much better!
  16. I guess the theory is to try the mildest treatment first and see if it works. If not, step up to more aggressive treatment.
  17. Exactly. It's no fun. I can't imagine what childbirth feels like, but I'm pretty sure sciatic nerve pain is worse.
  18. Kind of hard to see what's going on when the model is buried in that mess. How about shooting it on a neutral background without all that clutter?
  19. Man, you aren't kidding! It blows big time.
  20. Saw the orthopedist today. He showed me my hip X-rays and said they showed absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. So it's not a case of joint deterioration or arthritis or anything like that. He's pretty sure I have sciatica, which is an inflammation of the sciatic nerve, a large nerve that runs from the base of the spine down your leg. So now I go on a six day steroid medication regime... 6 pills the first day, 5 the next, 4 the next, etc. Plus I have to go to physical therapy for stretching and other exercises. I see the orthopedist in two weeks for a follow-up. He's pretty confident that between the steroid treatment and the physical therapy, this will be taken care of. Worst case scenario, I don't feel any relief after two weeks... then he wants to do an MRI. But I have my fingers crossed that the steroids and the exercises will do the trick. Man oh man, I hope so. The pain that I have been going through for the past 3-4 months is something I've never experienced before. I can't even describe how painful it is sometimes. But God willing, this will soon be over. Thanks so much to all of you who have given your support and best wishes.
  21. I'm a huge Zep fan, have been all my life... so the verdict pleases me. But I think they got away with it...
  22. Wow! That paint/weathering is absolutely beautiful. G, you have some competition...
  23. Maybe nothing fancy, but what's there is very well done. Super clean and crisp.
