  1. At this point it's redundant to tell you what a great job you did on this; it's already been said. Ditto to all the previous comments. So I'll just add that man. you have some skills there!
  2. Do you really have no idea who it came from? A relative, a club member... someone obviously knows you're into model cars, so I'm thinking that if you think about it you'll figure out who it probably was.
  3. I agree that someone dropping off a bunch of models on your doorstep is pretty cool, but I'm thinking a different kind of model...
  4. That's because we have some weird people here...
  5. I just put it in the NASCAR section.
  6. Prowlers were meant for show, not go. They were meant for cruising around town and being seen (and being seen in), not flat-out performance.
  7. Sure will, but no response so far.
  8. Are you volunteering to be the guy who spends many, many hours going through hundreds and hundreds of old topics and combining all the redundant posts? And to keep on doing that day after day after day? I'll tell you what... I have better things to do with my time.
  9. Nobody ever bought a Prowler because it was practical. It was never meant to be practical any more than a Viper, Corvette or Fiero were meant to be practical.
  10. Is anyone out there capable of creating a 3D figure master to be used to cast resin copies from? I'm talking about a high quality, recognizable 1/24 scale figure created from photo references. Anyone who thinks they fit the bill, PM me.
  11. I saw a Prowler in a supermarket parking lot the other day. Lots of black brake dust on the wheels, generally kinda ratty looking and dirty... aside from the styling, just another car. I have to wonder why the owner wouldn't have taken better care. I know a Prowler may never become a "real" big bucks collectible, but still... it's a unique car, not being made anymore. I would have expected it to be at least washed!
  12. I'd bet a lot of Prowlers and SSRs have been put away, the owners hoping for future collectible status (and value).
  13. The hardest part of using very thin tape is getting it down straight without waves. Almost impossible.
  14. Makes sense. Thanks.
  15. Maybe you need to sign up for an ESL class?

Kind of hard to see what's what when the photos are so totally blurry.
  17. I have a problem with people who can't spell "peeves" correctly... but that's just me...
  18. ok, so what are the seat belt-ish looking straps behind the seats for? Cargo tiedowns?
  19. Very nice! That would make a great model...
  20. Johnny, that other thread was two years old, so you're not the only one who didn't know it was there.
  21. If you look carefully, you'll see that the Review section is not only for reviewing new kits, it's for reviewing all kits. And Casey...different people may have a different take on a given kit, so there's no harm done if someone reviews a kit that someone else has already reviewed.
  22. How about this one? Real or model? The answer: MODEL!

    Mercedes W154

Wow! Very nice! Did you blackwash the louvers? They look great.
  24. Many years ago, Dean Zielinski (the Dean of Dean guitars) hired me to do some custom airbrushed graphics for a line of Dean guitars, so I have a soft spot for this sort of thread. I still have a couple of the prototypes, hand finished and hand built.
