  1. Future. Or any clear (acrylic, enamel, whatever). Paint it on the area where the plate will go and apply the decal.
  2. Java is a web browser issue, not a Fotki issue. Update your web browser to the latest version of whatever you're using. Old, outdated browsers can't handle the latest internet applications and functions.
  3. You really should have sanded out those ejector pin marks on the underside of the running boards.
  4. So did you take a 15 year break from airbrushing?
  5. Love the leopard print interior!
  6. It looks good! And I love how you have those "weeds" growing in the cracks of the "asphalt" in your display base... nice touch!
  7. That truck could pass for the real thing. Very well done.
  8. Those are cool. I really like the top one... the way the cab and trailer are designed to be "one piece," very cool! Any one of them would make a great scratchbuilt model. One thing's for sure... you wouldn't have any competition on the contest table!
  9. He's going to. He said so in the latest video.
  10. Beautiful! Both of them!
  11. Where did you get all the cool furniture, mirror, etc?
  12. Not cheating. Some guys do ship rigging (and WWI plane rigging) that way. It's just a matter of personal preference.
  13. Wouldn't it be easier to just use CA glue or epoxy?
  14. Final vote: 49 REAL, 19 MODEL. Once again, you guys got it: it's REAL!
  15. Remember... there were a lot fewer customers back then than there are today!
  16. Cabovers are still popular in Europe, not so much anymore here in the states.

Very nice! I love it. But a suggestion for next time: The black panel lines on the doors are way too dark. Look at the panel line between the hood and the fenders. Why would the line between the doors and the rest of the body be so much darker... black, in fact? Answer: they wouldn't be. Accenting panel lines in black like you did results in an unrealistic look. A better way to go is to flow a shade of color just slightly darker than the body color into the lines, not black. Also, the shaker scoop should be matte black, not gloss. But don't get me wrong... you did a real nice job on this,
  18. There's no "official" chair rail height. Ask 10 carpenters and you'll probably get 10 different answers. One "rule" says 1/3 of the way up from the floor to the ceiling, another "rule" says 36" no matter what the ceiling height. Anything between about 28" to 38" or so would be "right." I say do what looks good and proportional to your eye.
  19. I agree. Very cool model, but the rats and especially that skull have to go. They take away from the model and make it look too toy-like.
  20. Look again. There's no connection to the frame where the pivot would be.
  21. Here's what he's doing these days: http://www.themodelcarmuseum.org/index.html
  22. Oh, I see what you mean. Right, no "scale ruler" needed. 1 mm = 1 inch in 1/25 scale.
  23. You need the ruler to measure the part in the first place!
