  1. That's because they probably sold, I don't know, dozens of them???
  2. It's just a Vega with a different nose bolted onto it, and called "Monza." You can fool all of the people some of the time...
  3. Could be some sort of reaction between the 2 brands/types of paint. You should have sprayed a little of the black into the cap and used a small brush for touchup... you know, use the same paint that you sprayed with. That's how I do it.
  4. Beautiful car. They sure don't make 'em like that anymore...
  5. Thanks, Jim! And welcome aboard. I also built the Pocher Porsche. It's a "Pocher" in name only, the kit is nowhere near the caliber of the Pocher "classic" kits. The engine is just a vague blob of plastic with less detail than many 1/24 scale engines! I spent a lot of time reworking and detailing the engine, but the overall low quality of the kit kind of limited my enthusiasm. I did finish it, and it's on my shelf... looks ok, I guess. I have to get my aftermarket spotlights chromed, then I can install them and do some final photos of the Mercedes all cleaned up.
  6. That's not a bad looking little car. Too bad it's just a weird footnote.. sort of a Frankenstein's monster built with leftover parts.
  7. "I dig my Monza."
  8. That's just about the most real looking "water" I've ever seen! Very nice! (oh, and I like the girl, too!)
  9. If you can spell correctly, then you can also capitalize correctly. In fact, it's a whole lot easier to remember that a sentence begins with a capital letter than it is to spell every word correctly. It doesn't matter if your "rambling online about plastic models" or composing your Master's thesis–either you're doing it right or you're not. Either way, it makes no real difference to me. I'm neither the grammar nor the spelling police. I was just pointing out that I found it odd that you would be criticizing someone else's mistakes when your own posts had mistakes in them! I mean, first you publicly accused the kid of lying, basically... with no real proof, just a hunch on your part? That alone seemed strange to me. Then when you also decided to jump on him for his lack of spelling skills, well, I figured maybe I should point out the irony in that. Like I said, I'm not taking sides or picking a fight. But if you're going to be critical of someone else for mistakes they make, you probably should be sure you're not making similar mistakes yourself.
  10. Looks plenty good to me!
  11. No, that won't be necessary. I'm just saying that you should be sure that your own posts are written correctly before you criticize someone else's English "skillz." Makes sense, doesn't it? Not that you didn't have a valid point... but you sort of shot yourself in the foot there...
  12. Dave, I really don't want to "take sides" here... but I find it ironic that a guy who apparently doesn't know that a sentence begins with a capital letter is pointing out someone else's spelling errors. Glass houses and all that, you know?
  13. That turned out great, nice work!
  14. I was curious... never heard of the "Golden Sahara" so I looked it up. Ohmigod. That thing makes Liberace look tasteful...
  15. Well, obviously there's no right or wrong answer here. Some people will think that $30 for just an engine is a lot, some will think it's perfectly reasonable. Everyone has to make their own value judgement based on their own financial situation.
  16. I'm on a Mac, I just tried it. Works for me!
  17. Hmmmmm... does Christian have a little too much free time on his hands?
  18. ??? I don't understand your "reason"...
  19. I guess I should start sitting with my back against the wall at all times?
  20. How about this one? Real or model? The answer: MODEL!
  21. Can't help but notice how much higher the script emblem on the front fender is on the real car... above the side spear.
  22. They're nice. And they're expensive.
  23. Wow! You have some real nice bikes there!
