  1. hmmm, i like BoldSpeed! thanks for the idea! Maybe label it something similar to this BOLDSPEED. Lol. Your name sounds really cool and i like how you incorporated your father's initials. Hopefully will be starting on this in the next week or so. just neeed to get my base cut and its been really hot to do so! It's suppost to cool down in the next week so maybe ill get it done soon! yeah i build alot from the parts box. My mom has a tight income and my dad doesnt want to support my hobby so i build when i can get my hands on something. ive got a 1972 Chevy pickup on its way form a trade i did with stuff i had laying around, but i have no idea when it ill arrive.
  2. Well i have decided that since im out of models and money to buy more and have some balsa wood and plywood sitting around i would start a diorama. Ive got some messy pictures of my plans if you can understand my plans, i know i can. Any suggestions would be great as tis is my first diorama im building from balsa wood. heres the pics: i found the plans online and liked the design, so im rolling with it. Also need a name for the shop, and would like it to incorporate my last name which is Boldman. any ideas for that would be cool and appreciated. thanks.
  3. What I see trend the most is guys build the era of cars they grew up in. Now I'm am exception to this being at 16 as I build any era of car to my liking. The foose kits for example will be perfect for me and it may be one id build box stock with just a few add ons. This reason being is because I like taking the older style of cars and adding modern touches to it. I also enjoy hearing the storys of the so called "AARP" crowd because it gives me inspiration on what to build next. Such as hearing storys of my grandfather's old 1932 ford jalopy race car. Which I am currenrly trying to replicate. Everyone is goimg to have there own opinions and I think revell could and should add some new releases of more modern cars to their "to do" list.
  4. I agree with this, as i only buy one kit at a time and the if i like it i MAY go back to it, but i like to explore differnet cars so i only buy one and as stated above, its mostly tooled towards the older "old style" modeler as there arent very many of the yound ones out there(me being one of them at 16 years of age). Just my .02 But the three on the list that attract me the mosta nd that ill be buying is the foose firebird, the '93 mustang as i love that car as a dragster, and the '85 camaro. I may even go for the sox & marting and build it like the local one around my area

  19. if i wasnt still in need of a complete corvette suspension, frame, and drivetrain i would jump in with my 70 superbird which will be a mild custom with upgraded suspension and modern drivetrain, but am still in need of corvette stuff.
  20. A Little bit more progress. I tubbed the rear and custom built a rear deck. Motor will probably be a 615 ci. pontiac motor. Also got rid of one of the windows. Heres the pics.
