  1. All the old pictures were moved in my facebook, but here is an update. got some steelies and wide whites for this thanks to VW Dave for those. and thanks to mspeanut for all of the help by getting em the parts for this build.
  2. Well after getting back home from my dads and bringing this out, this is where im at. Frame modded the way i want now: Still have to sand the bondo smooth. Re-tubbed the bed out: And im sticking with the metallic blue and put some btter clear on the hood and it came out amazing! Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions welcome!
  3. I would likghtlt wetsand with like 8000 grit, but then you'll have to clear it of you aren't going to already.
  4. For being four and with just doing the decals and other small things thats a great build. Tell her we want more! By the time shes my age she would be doing awesome custom stuff! lol. Tell her it looks great for me!
  5. I wish i could help in some way. My ebay is a registered seller. even though ive only sold two items.
  6. Add Wayne's world to the list. he pulled through!
  7. Got these two today and a boatload of ribbed sheet plastic for my diorama. the c10 in factory sealed and the corvette is sealed inside. and all of them together, oops left the 10 dollars on the box. my bad. lol
  8. Idk, but emodelcars doesn't have the traffic that ebay does and they don't sell very quickly on there.
  9. Id also like to see the oh so expensive imperials make a come back as well.
  10. the motor going to be used: may put something nicer in there. and the body on the chassis: the front bumper will be shaved down also: i did paint this truck, but it has been stripped as i didnt like it and am going to be redoing alot of things. you can somewhat see the tubs that are going to be ripped out because i dont want them there. may replace it with some clear plastic. thats all ive got for now. let me know what you guys think.
  11. I had a request to show a build thread on this and ive decided to show the build progress and will be bringing this back out tof ix alot of things that i dont care for such as frame mods, suspension, lack of detail, and a big thing rip out the bed tubs i put in that are ugly!!!!! first off shaved everything: and yes that back bumper will come off and will be replaced with a smooth roll pan. Next is the chassis. I did this using tube styrene, and for my first time modifying a chassis i dont hink i did bad, but it will be getting tore back ddown and fied to look like this: i my change up the chassis design later. the front a arms will be changed and made more realistic. and bags will be added.
  12. Heck i used just another axle from a monogram f250 and di mine just with minor mods. It may not have been right for the truck, but it worked!!
  13. The only thing I'm going to be changing setup wise is the frame itself. I will still use round for the link bars just want to make them more realistic like in the picture. I think I have an old s10 frame I could cut up and use. When I get home from my dads in a week or so I will bring it out and see whay I can do
  14. My biggest thing is getting supplies on my limited budget. id like to get some square tubing to match the frame, then the airbags anf then redo the whole back and front end. im jst out of stuff to do it and wont be able to get any for a little while. When i get home i will probably bring it out and start tearing things apart and/or start other things. I have been re inspired. I know what im wanting to do with the front end yet again i have to get more tube styrene.
  15. i also need to make some airbags and put them in there
  16. No build page, but its no where near done.I tubbed the bed, ut it needs fixed. the front bumper came in the kit and i liked how it looked so i glued it on, did some trimming, and bondoed it in. it will be getting everything on it shaved off and then some half round glued on to give it some profile of the bumper and the grill will get some screen behind it. i need to redo the front suspension and maybe a little to the rear, but maybe in the net couple of weeks ill bring it back out and re-begin working on it. just have to find the motivation. heres some more: i might cut out the tubs that i put in after this picture and put in some clear styrene. you can see i tried to make brackets and thats what i want to change. make it a little bit better. And ps thanks for the compliment, means alot.
  17. Here's an example of one I've done. This is a complete slammed gmc sonoma. the frame was kit frame modified to be slammed. I used tube styrene to modify it. This one gives an example of the truck itself.I'm 16 and don't have much modeling experience and if I can do it anyone can.
  18. I would glue it to the cowl right below the windshield.
  19. I would fill the gap as i dont believe it would be there on a 1:1 version. Maybe someone else will chime in with their .02 I think it will clean it up for when your displaying it with the doors as well. I like the fender skirts.
  20. Not just you... heres they are. cleaned up my photobucket and moved them... sorry about that.. and the rest of them

1:18 scale may work just as good as it will be just a litte bigger. SMBC (Scale Modeling by Chris) sells a 1:18 scale diorama shop foor 1:24 scale cars.
