  1. I have done this once and it turned out really good. You will need: a small vice, a drill press, a coarse metal file, a fine metal file, some small drill bits and some small self tapping screws. Take the vice and put the coarse file in it with the wide side facing you. Put the vice on the drill press and put the screw head in the drill press. Turnn on the drill press and pull it down and push against the vice filing the screw threads down. After you get the threads filed down and to where it will fit in the engine flip the screw around in the drill press and round the head off. Take the file out of the vice and turn it facing the ceiling and file the head down to scale. Repeat the process again with the fine file to smooth it out some. Next take the right sized drill bit and drill the holes fore the wires and paint if you want.
  2. I found some wrapping wire around the house and I still don't know about the boots. Could I use really small rivets as boots.
  3. I need to make some cheap plugwires out of twist ties and taape or other household products.
  4. I'm also gonna need to cut the top part of the rear differential away from the floor and cut the muffler out of the floor.
  5. They won't break easy if you chuck them up till about half a centimeter is sticking out of the chuck.
  6. How do you black wash or paint grilles? I normally just paint them and wipe off the exess paint.
  7. Chuck: can you post some pictures of the one you did?
  8. I'm gonna go with round pastic stock and make it flat or take it off of another project. Also how can I use aluminum foil for BMF?
  9. An idea; If you don't wan't to canniballize the box for the upc code copy that part of the box onto card stock and cut.
  10. I do not know if it is out of production. How would I scratch it?
  11. I recently recived an AMT 1966 Mustang Coupe. There is alot of room to improve on the whole model. There was not any hood trim included in the kit. Should I make my own, steal it from another kit, or e-mail the company. The kit was bought off of either Ebay of Amazon. What should I do.
  12. Most people either buy one, make on or modify one from an automatic. But how can I replicate the door handels and window cranks for a pony interior?
  13. The wierd thing is they put a center console and a clutch in it. No 1966 Mustang with a manual came with a center console. And how can I make door handels ang window cranks? the ones in this kit are molded into the interior too.
  14. I once saw a trick where a modeler cut out the center console, covered it on the inside with masking take and the filled in the hole from the bottom of the tub with two-part epoxy. The result was an almost flawless covering of the hole; the texture of the masking take matched the molded in carpet fairly well. And, if you're flocking the carpet anyways, no one will be able to tell! Would J B Weld work? I can't take pictures right now.
  15. I just got a 1966 Mustang for Christmas and I am making an exact replica of mine. The problem is the model has a center console molded into the interior. How can I remove the center console without damage?
