I just lower them the easiest way I can , at the back I cut the coil springs down , and at the front I cut the stub axles off and smooth the area flat and glue on a small flat circle of plasticard , then when you glue on the front wheels on you can adjust them to what ever height you want as the glue sets . This may not be a perfect way of doing it , but it may help.
