    Cannot get Model cars from newstands over here in Aus. so I subscribe but I would so do anyway . I think it is a great mag and we should be thankful that we have it . Long may it continue ( and grow to 12 issues a year , please ) .

    The wheels came with the kit , there is a stock kit and this one , on the box lid the model is a purple colour . I think the same wheels are in the 65 Chev pick up ( green on box lid ) . Peekay - in the pick up bed is a decal that comes in the kit . Thanks for the nice comments.

    My Chev pick up , built from Revell kit , painted Tamiya ts49 ( bright red ) and ts7 ( racing white ) . I enjoyed building this kit , it went together real nice .

    My Jasper Ford Taurus , built from Revell / Monogram kit , painted Tamiya yellow , lowered for better stance , rim hubs trimmed to get tires inside body , aftermarket decals .

    Thanks for the nice comments , There is no trick work involved , the screen surround is just done with a silver Sharpie , I guess it is just the photo makes it look like a rubber seal.

    Door handles - like a lot of little jobs I am always going to get back to but never do , I will have to do it .

    My Willys Panel truck , built from AMT kit , painted Tamiya yellow , a lot of chrome removed and done with Testors metalisers.

    Nice build , I like this style of racing , I have built a couple of sportsman style cars , they are a neat way to use up leftover bodies or chassis.

    Not sure if this will help , but when I wanted a dark red interior for a few models ,I first painted black then put a coat of red over the top , by varying the number of coats of red you can get different shades of colour.
