  1. Always wanted to do one of these right out of the box, with paint of course and I added wires and white walls from Vinyl Nation.
  2. Looking for resin for the '41 Chevy pickup. A quick google search only comes up with the Resin Realm (Star Models) '41 Panel Delivery body, which is based on the 40 Ford and totally wrong. I am building a stock build, but would like to do a Suburban or Panel Delivery. Or perhaps even a GMC conversion of the pickup. It is for a club build (we are each doing a '41 Chevy) but I would like to build something stock, other than out of the box. Any info is welcome.
  3. Replica stock build of my buddy Ken's '04 SSR. He airbrushed it in some of the factory paint he had left over for his, I cleared it and built it.
  4. Thanks guys! I try my utmost to be very correct when doing my replica stock builds.
  5. Just polished. Added the dark green to the top and interior.
  6. Good question. Not sure though. Most ambulances up through the 1980's were orange and white here in the US.
  7. Awesome! I plan to do the same with my kit. Wonder if anyone is offering a resin split bench seat for this kit?
  8. Wild! I love it! Great weathering!
  9. Started life as a factory Dunbarton Green promo, but I've taken it apart, and completely detailed it. Also added a set of Firestone Supremes because the original JoHan tires appeared too small for the car.
  10. They are awesome!
  11. Hi guys, haven't been around for a few years on this board. See quite a few new names here. I recently finished this JoHan that I built to replicate the units used by my hometown (Amsterdam, NY) ambulance corps. Complete with their original logo.
  12. Hi guys, haven't visited the MCM board in quite some time. Had builder's block since March 2016 right up through after the holidays. I'm back into it now, and feels just as good as ever! Here's another one of the Renwal Revival Exner Concepts I finished up. I used gold anodizing from Spaz-Stix to replicate the brass, shot directly over the chrome, and gold foil for the fender trim. Rest of it is out of the box. There is an engine in there, but very crude, so I rather display it as a curbside. Only kit I'm lacking to complete my Renwal Revival collection is the Jordan.
  13. Yep.........exactly. I dumped mine too, bought the Danbury mint. Done very nicely.
  14. Yes, but very vague detail, generic engine. I built it as a curbside for this reason.
  15. Yes, they are actual spokes.
  16. Just restored this one from a builtup. Missing one spare tire and the separate side window frames are warped, but all in all it was salvageable. Not too often do you see one of these builtup. I am happy to have the box as well. Now to find the Jordan and the Bugatti.
  17. They are the ones that came on it.
  18. Just a quick detail of a promo. Mariner blue polished plastic, interior is two tone grey, added white wall tires and corrected the nose in the air front end these had, detailed the "wooden" bed floor, and detailed the trim and window weatherstripping.
  19. I like your ideas!
  20. LOL...........it's pretty bad. Only thing I do actually like is the overhang of the front fenders. Sort of Imperial "esque". I love Exner's designs, but when he got to some of these, it's easy to see why Chrysler canned his ass.
  21. Restored this one from a glue bomb. Still have to find a better windshield frame and the correct rear bumper. Ugly son of a gun, but necessary if trying to complete a set of these models.
  22. My thoughts exactly.
  23. Looks great Jim. I will be starting mine soon, in Calypso Green, all stock. My son Chris is going to build his in Calypso too, although his will be a drag car. Should be pretty neat.
  24. Thanks very much for all the compliments!
