i picked up this little gem tonight after work from an old highschool friend. its been in the garage for about four years not he had big hopes of restoring it. after 1300 bucks he changed his mind. now its at WTI customs. its a little rough around the edges but after we sand her down well see how much work we have ahead of us. we are going all out on this one beings it will be the first car the shop has built and we have to get our name out there. the car came with some crappy centerlines and old trans am wheels that are dryrotted and bald. it also has the stock 305 with a 4 speed both will go outback to the parts stash and in its place is going somthing fuel efficiant and a little mare muscular

we sent it to the jewler twice and they said that since there "floating dimonds" they have a tendancey to fall out alot. i just dont want to keep sendign it back every few months. i got a great deal on it n it is true u get what u pay for lol. no wonder it was on sale hahaha

hey guys i have a problem i need a solution to. i bought my fiance an engagment ring in june and so far weve had to get two dimonds fixed the first time it was loose and the company helped us when we had it fixed and a few months later a dimond fell out and we went and had that fixed ourselves now we have a loose dimond again. i can super glue it but am afraid of getting that white film. i am sure theres a glue out there that will be strong enough and dry clear to put on it i was just wondering if anyone had any sugestions. we really dont want to send the ring back or replaced. thank you guys for your help and merry christmas

thats kinda ugly. maybe lower the bedline a little. and square up the rearend to match the shape of the front and it might look better but im sure its cheap made and wont last long at all compared to the abuse of the old elkys

Right i noticed all rules were different. I just loosly put up rules to give a general guidlines. In aome classes a backhalf is alowd depending on ur track i wont get picky about rules in this thread as long as u have fun buildin them

Class description: Outlaw 10.5 is a heads up class designed for vehicles produced from a major manufacturer. This means vehicle must come from a major assembly line Factory quarter panels and roof required with factory dimensions. All factory pillar post and door jams must be present. Carbon fiber or fiberglass panels limited to front-end pieces, door, deck-lid, and bumpers and must be factory appearing. After market spoilers and wings allowed. Wing size is limited to 20” from the transition point to the tip of the spoiler. Side spill plate, size 8” maximum. Hood, doors must be operable. Hood must be separable from the front end. Hatchback and deck-lid vehicles must have factory dimensions. Stock or stock appearing grills must be retained. Vehicle must have functioning head lights and tail lights. Hide-away headlamp style vehicles must have some type of working headlights, at least behind headlight grill. In case of hidden headlights that completely fold away with no grills, fog lights may be used No full tube chassis allowed. Back half vehicles only. Any combination of power adders allowed. Mufflers required for all vehicles except vehicles with turbo charger. Exhaust must be directed toward rear of vehicle. No frontal or side exit in front of front wheels. Any slick up to 10.5” side wall designation or DOT tire up to 13.5” side wall designation allowed. Drive wheels must meet SFI spec 15.1. pretty much anything that has 10.5 tires in back can run usualy they are supercharged or turbo cars

Starting with any kit build a 10.5 outlaw car ud see running the strips n streets the thread has no time ending so take ur time and lets see some sweet outlaw cars

Humm thats a good idea ill have to look into that ive never built a dirt car before n i saw everyone using nascar chassis so i got my hands on one. But ill check that out since this is goin to be more work than i planned lol

i am starting another project whyle i wait on parts for my camaro its a 67 chevelle going to be a dirt car. im using a nascar chassis. it dont seem to have any detail in the rear of it though so i might have to scratch build the back half. never done anything like this so i may need some help. anyone know of any good places to get parts. ive tried dirt modeler n they dont have much for a street stock car

i love it. i think street stock is my favorite class of dirt racing.

sorry i havnt updated in a whyle not much been going on with the car. waiting to order my fuel cell for it to put in the trunk but im waiting to order it with my derby car parts to save on shipping. moneys been kinda tight with christmas and all so slow progress on it for now hang in there lol
