Thanks Monty. Yup...you're right, those are MRC wheel/tire sets. I have a few more sets of the Keystone's, but it was the tires that I was always after. They're some of, if not the best "muscle car" tires sold separately from kits. And now nearly impossible to find. I have one set of tires left. As for the detail painting in the rims...yeah, I forgot to do that. I realized it after I saw some on an actual car. But anyway...the weathering on the bottom of the car is just "dry brushing" Testor's magnesium and AK Interactive rust, grime, and dirt. Same in the engine bay, but with a little AK Interactive oil (by the oil filter) and fuel stain (around the carb on the manifold). Oh yeah...the paint is Dupli-color GM Bright Red from the auto parts store.

This a contest car from last year. It represents a used car with some upgrades for performance. There is plenty of extra detailing under the hood...wiring, plumbing, battery cables, and weathering. I also reworked the exhaust for the "Cherry Bombs" and also added tips. There is also a little bare metal foil, photo etched parts, and seat belts, tires, and rims.

"68-'70 Charger's were all the same basic shape. '71 brought a new body change. -

Neal- Wow...nice use of old electronics...kind of "Mad Max". Might have to "borrow" that idea for a future build. It really works for this kind of build. -
Highly Detailed GENERAL LEE.... finally done...!1yr and 6 days

First...This build is awesome. All the cutting, scratch building, photo-etch parts, and detailing are just fantastic. Second...I can't believe that people turned this thread into such a pissing match. Everybody thinks their way is right and everybody elses way is wrong. LET THE GUY BUILD HIS CAR AND SHOW IT OFF. Compliment and thank him for sharing. Everybody also knows the General Lee was a '69 Charger, BUT '68, '69, and '70 Charger's were all used as "General Lee's". They were hacked up cars and parted together and painted to "look" like '69 Charger General Lee's. It was all done at a little shop, can't remember where though, and ANY '68-'70 Charger would do regardless of engine, color, options etc, etc, etc... They're mish mash cars. There were only a handful of "real" General Lee's anyway for close-ups and show. The rest were smashed, jumped, and just plain destroyed for our entertainment and enjoyment ("enjoyment" used lightly). So, Thank You Davin for sharing your build. It's really coming together and looking great! Just can't believe how many pages are on this thread of people just nitpicking your build to death. -

Thanks Neal...like I said, I'm taking a short break from this build. Next time everyone sees it, it'll be weathered. And I'll see if I can add a little more without the truck being too busy. -

This is the last of the current pics I have right now. Kind of taking a break from this build. Started a new model for the Gears model contest with Stacy David. -

Some updated pics. http://tzhsquad2012 Will somebody let me know if this link works. Having problems uploading pics again (still). I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I know it's so easy...a monkey or a zombie can do it. There should be 3 new pics of my truck in camo and the new gun. Weathering and detailing will be next. Thanks. -

Thanks for the offer and posting the video for me. I don't want to bother anyone with this. I've got plenty of time to get the build done and I'm taking pics along the way. I'll let it go for right now and try some other time. Just really frustrated I can't figure out how to post pics. I'm sure it's something simple that I'm not doing and I'll laugh about it later. -

Thanks Mark for the info. Tried it...didn't work. Maybe it's me, I don't know. Pretty much have given up trying anymore. I'd say about 50 times is enough for me. If anybody wants to see what I've build so far on my TZH truck, you can go to my youtube channel...find 70judgeman and there is a short video on the truck. Sorry guys...I'll finish the truck, but I'm done trying to post here. -

I've tried and tried, but for some reason I cannot upload any photos to post. I've followed the "how to" video and nothing. They start to upload and will not complete and post. Any other suggestions? -

Hey guys...I'm new to the forum here. I know Dr. Cranky a little bit mostly from youtube. Not personally, but from communicating back and forth a little here and there. I've had a fun time with the model building community on youtube and gained some friends there with similar interests. Anyway...I'm gonna try my hand at this build and just have some fun with it.
