Looking good. i would suggest using BMF on the rails. It looks good and would also be eaisier than painting. As I said, it's just a suggestion.

Looks a little like one of mine.

Simple car to build as this is a cubside type of kit. No engine and chassis has everything molded into one unit. I think I finished this in about 4 days. I haven't done a car that quick in many, many years. Build pretty much stock with just a couple of mods. I molded in the front and rear pans and drilled out and sank some plastic tube in to make the 2 sunkem antenna's. Paint is black lacquer with HOK Marbilizer to put as one guy called a "skunk stripe" down the center of the car. it was followed by 3 coats of clear and a polish of Novus # 2 and then a wipe down with Novus # 1. Comments both good and bad are always welcome. Thanks for looking.

I live in Az. so I know about summer heat. While I do build inside my air conditioned house I do my painting out in my garage. If spraying lacquer the paint can actually start to dry before it even hits what I am painting. My solution for this is to paint early in the morning. I paint between 6 and 8 am. The good thing is that the paint will "bake" if left in the garage.

I just searched Netfilx and had no results for " Highway Patrol ".

Netflix streaming has Highway Patrol ? I have that ! I am going to look right now.

Small update. I got the body painted. It was done in black followed with a center stripe of HOK marblizer and then 3 coats of clear and polished some with Novus.

That is going to be smooth and sweet.
