I and others like member Sixx have painted up model car bodies and sold them on ebay as slot car bodies.

Something similar happened to me. A few months ago my wife and I were taking a trip to San Diego to visit my daughter. We had a 47 in. flat screen tv we were not using and decided to take it to her. My wife always rents us a car when we go there. We get to Enterprise I find she rented a Chevy Spark. A Spark ? No way would I drive a car that small on a road trip and no way would the tv fit in that car. Luckily they did not have one and upgraded us to an Nissan Altima and the tv did squeeze into the back seat on that. Spark may be a good car for around town but for me, not on a road trip. Wife thought since I pack good that there wouldn't be any trouble.

I got the body cleaned up best I could and have it in primer. There was some tough rubber type of glue used by whoever started this kit. Tough to get some of it apart. Left the hood and trunk lid attached because I know I would have broken the hinges if I tried to remove them.

For some reason it makes me think Bugatti.

I saw the same thing when I worked at Petco. Folks would buy a huge aquarium and then want it shoved in a compact 2 door with out a hatch.
