  4. Have a friend in New Lennox. He said it was so bad they lost power and has to go huddle in the basement. Still had no power early this morning.
  5. Ok, got everything I needed to return to this build. Body is painted, Tamiya Silver Leaf. The red center up and over stripe will be applied today and I will clear the car tomorrow. I stripped the chrome from the side pipes and painted them flat black. I didn't think the chrome pipes looked good with the car being silver. I may have to get another kit so I can paint it bright red.
  6. I like it !
  7. Thank you so much guys.

  12. Thank you guys. I got the body on ebay. I believe it was cast by AFX N Scale but not 100 % sure about that.
  13. Wow ! That is looking so very nice !
  14. This was kind of a fun build and I am pretty happy with the outcome. I know a lot of guys could have done a better job with this but that is always the case. Anyway,,,,, started with a resin body that was meant to be used to do a replica of the " Bronco Buster". I tried for a while to try and find the decals but could not so I decided just to build it. I used the chassis from the AMT double dragster kit. I had to modify the body by cutting the rear cover out for the chassis roll bar and then also cut an opening for the engine so I could get the front end lower. I used a pre wired distributor, slicks are from the AMT parts pack. Made the floor with sheet plastic covered with BMF. The paint is Big Bad Blue and then it was decaled and cleared. The frame was painted bright yellow. Thanks for looking and any and all comments are welcome.
  15. This build is done. Photos in "Under Glass " section soon if interested.

  20. Looks good, nice paint.
  21. For health reasons I walk every morning. It was 90 degrees when I was walking at 5:00 am this morning but that's not my gripe. I knew it was hot in the summer when I moved here. Anyway, we have a lot of paths, trails as well as walkways and greenbelts in the neighborhood. Many times while I am out walking I come across people who are walking their dogs. I notice that most folks ( not all ) pick up when their dog leaves a lawn sausage. My irk is that when people who ride horses on the paths/trails and their horses drop a load the size of a bowling ball they get to just leave it in the middle of the trail. Watch your step !!
  22. Nice. Paint is looking very good.
