Yup, the man is right. That my friend is a 62 for sure. My first car was a 62 light blue 4 door 62 that I bought from my dad for 50 bucks. This photo takes me back as it is very close to what mine looked like.
So glad you are doing a wip. I look forward to seeing how you improve the kit parts or scratchbuild. BTW did you ever finish that plane you were working on ? I may have missed the final photos.
I have used that paint and it didn't take anywhere that long to dry. Not sure why it is for you. Too thick ? Stirred well ? Maybe put the parts under a heat source like a lamp ? Maybe strip it and start over ?????
Thank you Harry. The model is Tamiya and is 1/20 scale. It is a V12 and yes it is in sidways and has a snakenest of exhaust 6 coming over the top and 6 under. I like this car so much I may buy and build their 1/12 kit of the same car.
Just finished this one up today. Pretty nice kit. Clean parts and very few issues. Engine and bracing was a little difficult and when installing the front wheels the pin on the wheels did not fit into the rubber sleeve in the disc brake and I broke one off so had to glue it on. Only 3 of these cars were built in 1965. Mr. Ginther driving the number 11 car became the first Japanese car to win since the dawn of Gran Prix racing in 1906. Comments both good and bad are welcome.
Ira, I always follow your builds and love them all. This one is my favorite yet. It is so cool ! I can't wait to see what your mind has in store for us next. Keep on creating !!!
