Wot do U do when a Star Wars model that U build for U'r wife is broken by her, well U sit down scrounge thru the parts box for some wheels and turn it into a buggy. So here is my effort at a but of fun with a broken Star Wars model. Dingo

62rebel the reason the cabinets R empty is because I'm shifting things around and I can't do that with full cabinets, once it's back together I'll put up photos of it looks like until then NO model building BUT yes I am a model builder who has come to a stop for a while. Thanks to all other for U'r comments and yes Doc very 50's & 60's for the cabinets as they came from my parents home which was built in the 40's and would U believe it has 14 foot high ceilings in it. Well my model building has come to a great BIG stop as I am right in the middle of re-arranging my Den where all and sundry is done, from model building to watching T.V. to reading of my car related mags it's all done in this room and things got a little crowded over should I say over bearing completely on top of me so I have (wait for it) shifted some of my models to my neighbours home put them in a cool room there and placed all other stuff in an outside shed then I will grab her futon lounge/bed type seat put that in my den then rebuild the den around it to hopefully house it all. These photos will give U some idea of wot the room anded up like. Taken from the doorway this cabinet is under the window but will go where the green lounge is at the side of this photo. Dingo

I didn't know we had to wear anything special but looking at the Doc maybe I better go out and buy something really specail otherwise it's just my ordinary plain old working clothes that I put on each morning. Dingo

Thanks Gus I have to agree with every one of these cars that I've seen has not been a box stock job BUT with the exception of the flame graphics mine is and with a little help from an article in SA magazine I think I got it right boy that mag is great for helpful hints. Bruce its a bit more than 1 step up from a go-kart not that I've driven one of these BUT I have done speedway here in Adelaide my home town and when U'r going left but turning right on the steering wheel a go-kart is childs play and by the way thanks for U'r "very nice" comment it is appreciated although I don't come on these forums to get heaps of praise for the work I do I come here to show wot I have done and built and just hope U all like wot I do. Guys if U want to convert a yank kit to an Oz falcon for the Mad Max car use a Torino kit that's all the falcon is I'msure some of U guys who do conversions of cars has the skill for that. Dingo

Yea Yea Tim I know, RHD car RH side of the road I have been to the states before but would never go back had a horrible time. Don't get me wrong Tim the people where great the food OK it was just the wrong time of the year, your winter our summer and we nearly froze luckily some kind folks gave us winter clothes as we didn't expect it to be that cold as our winters are more wet than cold here in Australia. Anyway back to the car as soon as I can get the RHD dash and the Mustang kit I'll be building but it could be more towards the end of the year than now, thanks for U'r remarks on the Falcon kit though it is a great kit and for a poly/resin kit very good the Partsbox here in my home state South Australia have done a good job. My entry: '69 Ford Falcon XT GT (yep an Aussie car so watch out boys) Although power should be a 302 it will get a 351 mustang motor along with the Mustang floor pan and part interior the rest is all Aussie. Dingo5162 (not to be confused with Dingo although I am the same person)

Seeing that the '62 date is the cut off I have know idea wot I'm going to put in as I don't have a car to build that is that old. Dingo

This is my small collection of trucks that I have so far, after purging so many of them back in 1990 when I met my wife (something I should never have done) I have decided to go on a rebuild of the ones that I use to have and hope that I can recover most of them, so far all I have got is the black Mack R600 with the flat top trailer BUT I'm working on getting them all back. As U can see in photos 1, 2 & 3 I have a deverse range of model collecting by wot is shown underneath the trucks. Dingo

I bought this just before christmas and built it over a one week period again basicly put of the box and made to look like a clunker with some owner repairs. Dingo

This has just been finished well just prior to christmas that is, it has been mainly built straight out of the box with the exception of the butterfly flaps on the front bumper, the right hand fender mounted driving light and the reverse light sitting on the rear hatch lid instead of the rear panel. Other mods include some interior stuff like rocket launcher swith for ignition start/stop and the relocating of the navy's Haldas to the glove box plus a dash mounted clock. Butterfly flaps mounted on front bumper, typical of rally cars in the 70's and earlier. showing the new dash set-up, with clocks repostioned and dash mounted gauge in pod and one halda in new position. This is a type rally car set up for an Australian rally in the 70's Dingo

Sticks I agree with U on the Kenny bullbar that's Y on mine it won't be used as my truck will be a city rig, Jim yes the last one is an SAR as the lead in write up says it will become a hook loader or as more commonly known a bin truck. I appologise for the thick type on this reply but I've hit the wrong buttom somewhere along the line and don't know how to get it back without doing silly things sorry guys. Dingo

Dirk no they didn't crush it in a container in fact they put a heavy parcel on top of it, in the same parcel but didn't get damaged was a 1/12th scale Tamiya Datsun Safari car which is nw built. Dingo

Harry, I dropped off becuse at the time I had far too many forums to cope with so I decided which ones I should continue with unfortunately at the time MCM wasn't one of them BUT since then I've been kicked of a few because my main medium in model building is actually cardstock (paper) and they didn't like it I've come back here mainly at the request of either one of the members or an Admin guy or a facilatater?? who is on another forum and thinks I should continue my CBP here, so here I am if you as an Admin guy doesn't like it I shall like on other forums simly drop off the radar and U'll never see again which would mean I'd be on only one forum and that would make it easy but I did like this one when I forst joined as Dingo not Dingo5162 back in 2009. So that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Dingo

These are my two newest rigs that I have had on the go for about 3 months now but have had to bring to a stand still becasue of elbow problems, the doctors at the hospital think it's tennis elbow but my own doc says it could be arthritis no one really knows. Anyway back to my two rigs, the first one is a vlolvo that I intend to build into an Australian B-Triple and the second is an S.A.R. Kenworth that will become a hook loader eventually. 1: 2: Dingo

I have decided to return to MCM after a bit of a break, so this is my returning project. It's a model I recieved from the U.S. a few years ago and was damaged in transit by the postal people whether it was U.S. Post or Aust Post it doesn't matter my Chrysler Turbine was smashed so after using the turbine motor in my Dodge Charger I set the chrysler aside until I could think of a use for it. All I have done is pieced together wot is left of it and hav started a barnyard dio, so far the car is all I have. Dingo5162
