  1. Killer model John, paint is awesome and the detail is off the speedo as usual.
  2. Hi guys, our club, the Perth & Districts Model Club (PDMC) has their annual display at the Hot Rod show. This year's theme was Bonneville so we put together an over 8 metre long salt track. We think it came out awesome. Here are some pics and link to the rest of the photos http://s675.photobucket.com/user/dynodavo/library/Hot%20Rod%20Show%20PDMC%202013
  3. Hi Matija, thanks for your comments. The wheels are actually just random ones from the parts box so I can't tell exactly what kits they came from.
  4. Man, that is wild model, Id love to see that pounding down the quarter mile.
  5. Thanks Dave, it came from the old AMT Thunderbird kit. Lots of scratch building to make it look like that though.

  8. Way cool Tyrone, that is one amazing model, prisitine build quality.
  9. Hey, thanks guys, appreciate the positive feedback, I wasn't sure the stretchy Crew Cab would work but it seems by everyone's feedback it's OK. I'll take some pics of the Bonneville diorama and post them in a couple of weeks.
  10. Thanks guys, appreciate you checking it out
  11. Awesome build, like the whole style and look, great engine bay detail too
  12. Very cool, nice to the sixpot in it, well done.
  13. Built this for our upcoming club display that is a 8.7metre long Bonneville theme diorama which all the members will contribute models and figures for. The hauler is the resin Scale Productions Dual Cab VW Pickup stetched using the Revell T1 Samba Bus. Paint is my own mix of pale yellow with matt white trim and a white flake roof. It's basically a curbside with dress up parts from the Revell kit. The Karmann Ghia is the Tamiya kit fitted with a bombed out flat six Covair motor from the Revell Parts Pak series, I added a scratch built inlet manifold, custom exhaust and milled pulley. The motor is wired. Interior has a scratch built roll cage, Nascar seat and NOS bottle, the Salt Shaker decals are home made and the wheel discs have been machined from aluminium discs.
