  2. SORRY FOR THE CAPS BUT I ALREADY HAD THE POST DONE WHEN I REALIZED I HAD THE CAPS BUTTON ON. TRYING TO GET OVER THE WINTER BLUES. I FORGOT HOW MUCH STUFF I HAD IN MY BACK YARD UNTIL THE SNOW MELTED. ANYWAYS I HAVE BEEN A LITTLE BUSY TRYING TO GET A TABLE TOP BOOK PUBLISHED. ITS BEEN ACCEPTED AND IT SHOULD BE IN THE WORKS IN ABOUT A MONTH OR SO. ITS JUST GOING TO BE A BUNCH OF PICTURES OF MODELS I HAVE DONE.I AM SURE ALL OF YOU HAVE SEEN THEM all. THERE WILL BE 61 PICTURES PLUS THE COVER. IF THIS BOOK WORKS OUT I WANT TO DO ANOTHER ONE A LITTLE DIFFERENT.
  3. with all that's going on with police today i thought you guys might like to see them more as what they are. humans ▶ Dover Police DashCam Confessional (Shake it Off) - YouTube
  4. GOOD GOD. that's so great i think that's all i can say about it. just freakin great. B)
  5. Hi! guys stopping in for a little while. i have been pretty busy lately and not much time to use the computer also been battling a vicious tooth ach for the last few days that i just got pulled yesterday. i would have done it sooner but i am such a coward.lol . i just finished the oct 12 car show near here and Kevin the guy running the show hands me two race cars and says : i want a drag strip. i said ok and started to put one together then try to figure out where on the layout to put it.i put it by the car show part of the diorama.added a few little things and made some smoke and they were at the starting point burning some rubber.lol i will post more dio and show pics at a later time. i only wish i had more time to give it a little more detail.
  6. this is just to cool. i actually need more time to see it all as my compter is a snail but i intend to see it all. super great attention to detail.
  7. FANTASTIC !!!WOW IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT IS IN STORE FOR US LATER.
  8. as an ex blues and rock guitarist i love what your doing with all of the instruments. in the seventies i made a few miniature fender guitars out of wood but only got as far as finishing and painting the bodies i never got to the detail parts as i just lost interest in the project i wish i knew what i did with those bodies. it would be fun to finish one of them. you are doing a spectacular job and i will be watching your progress.
  9. thanks for all of your honest and great opinions on my backround picture. i agree with all of you about lowering the picture i think that will look much better than the way i have been showing it and the next time i set it up i will try it. again thanks everyone and i love honest criticism its the best way to correct things that we ourselves do not catch but others do.
  10. those are super great looking models that i had a chance to get awhile back and passed up on. now i am kicking myself.lol
  11. these guys do great work on anything they do.being a junker guy you know i love it.
  12. you are exactly correct in the test shot i took the picture closer that it is when i set it up at the shows. here is a picture how it is normally set up. i took this picture at my last car show to show the correct distance. let me know if this looks better to anyone.
  13. well you said it right there is no such thing as a completed diorama. i am still adding and taking things away from dioramas i built 10 years ago.lol yours is very cool and i like the little touches like the out of use guitar and amp. great job.
  14. this is just a great build. i love everything about it.perfect detail in every way. and congats on your win.
  15. to cool and very realistic. here is a link to a whole lot of signs. be ready to spend a lot of time searching for what you need.lol Decals for Days Part 1 pictures by mrjjohn - Photobucket Decals for Days Part 2 pictures by mrjjohn - Photobucket
  16. far from done but this is what i have so far. still some inside things to do and some more to the exterior.i built this building around 2007 to use in the junkyard. it is made out of real clay bricks layed one by one. its pretty heavy.lol.the first two pictures is a few years ago when it was just a warehouse for the soda guy.
  17. here are a few pictures more some next to a good one. i am still working on the restoration shop.
  18. this is as far as i am going with this one.lol car was sideswiped in 1970 and has been sitting in the guys yard under a falling apart wood car port ever since. it still has 1970 Ohio plates on it.a local guy was able to purchase the car for near nothing with plans on restoring it so he had it towed to mark's restoration shop for the job. well as fate would have it the shop closed for two weeks for vacation and while they were gone some thieves got wind of their being away and in a couple of nights stole the engine and rear out of the car.this is what they came back to.i wouldn't want to be the one to tell the customer what happened.
  19. make the mopar guys ill. i am working on the next in my accident series for the body shop. this time it is a danbury mint 1958 plymouth fury complete passenger side sideswipe. even at the guys shop someone stole the rear and motor out of it over the weekend. i guess it's realy toast now.pictures to come later.
  20. for those guys that want to know this bus is a combination of diecast parts. the nose was a diecast fire truck the main body is a hubbly diecast the floor is buddy-l. i handmade the interior and top lights and a few other things like the body trim and the doors. all of the windows i made from real glass and chromed solder. i also made the tires and drum. so i guess you can call it a diecast nightmare.it is 1/24th scale.
  21. i haven't been doing a whole lot lately between work and my diabetes acting up which sometimes effects my vision making it hard to work on little things i was able to tweak my school bus diorama 1/24 1941 gmc. i removed some weeds and added dirt and some diorama litter around in and on top of the bus.i also wired the bus to to base so it can't fall off. this all started after i dropped it on the table during the last car show i did.lol the first 2 pictures are before i updated it. updated pics
  22. rest of pictures.the car is half Danbury mint and half Maisto
  23. this 1965 malibu ss was rear ended at a red light and has been sitting for a few years in the guys yard with good intentions to use it as a parts car if he got another one and as of now that has not happened and it's been rotting away for many years. it is now off to the junkyard.the car started out as a cheap Maisto model the pictures will tell the rest.
  24. I WOULD LIKE ANY OPINIONS ON THIS PICTURE THAT I HAD MADE UP TO FIT BEHIND MY JUNKYARD AT SHOWS. IN THESE SHOTS THE JUNKYARD IS NOT SET UP JUST A PART OF IT.
  25. i like it a lot. and all those ambulances to the conversions will be real cool when done.
