  4. Wow Ira i just clicked on your link! You have a great imagination and your builds are amazing!
  5. Most of these cars might be gone now, the pics were taken about a year ago and the owner told me he had the crusher coming in the following month. I haven't been back since so i don't know whats left if anything. He had at least six 61 plymouths and at least a dozen fin cars, even had 4 Chargers, 68 through 70.
  6. Thanks for the tip on painting Futurbat, i'll give it a try! Here's some new pics. slowly making progress.
  7. I met the Model King about a year ago at a 1:1 car show, he seemed like a really nice guy. I purchased 4 models from him and he gave me his business card which i still have.

  9. Mind if i ad a few? I have alot of junkyard pics. i have taken over the years!
  10. Another day or so soaking and all the paint should be off the body, hopefully the next paint job will be better! I have the brake line ran back to the rear which is almost ready to go in, then it's on to the interior which i have no idea how to detail!
  11. Keeping my fingers crossed that the Model King or Revell start making 1/16 models, i have a couple and would love to get a few more but the prices are more than i can and am willing to spend on them!
  12. Thanks for the welcome guys! I love building models but my Duster is my pride and joy! I'm trying to keep it looking like something that just rolled out of the 70's with the paint and wheels, now i just bought a green metal flake steering wheel for it and a Moon center cap, can't wait to get them and get them put on!
  13. Yep i primed before paint, the biggest problem is that it seems to have alot of static in it, it attracts dust like a magnet! I cleaned it down really good, clean the area where i paint and as soon as i start spraying i can see bits of dust in the paint! I used Krylon a light shade of green, maybe that's why it's so noticeable? I have it in the purple pond now, hopefully with the paint being so fresh it won't take long to come back off.
  14. This is my current project and the most detail i have ever attempted! I am using a few techniques i had found here, so far i made gas tanks straps, fuel lines and am working on the brake lines and rubber brake hoses at the wheels. My detailing has a lot to be desired but i am learning as i go and am having fun doing it! The only issue i am having is the body i cannot get the paint to come out right so far it has been problem after problem! I don't have and airbrush just use spray cans which usually comes out nice but for some reason not this time! So it will be going into the purple pond then one more round of paint and possible color change.
  15. Couple more things about me, i am a HUGE Mopar fan and i currently own 2 a 71 Plymouth Duster that i call Bad Apple(reason for my username) and a 72 Plymouth Scamp that i am currently restoring and modifying. I am also a HUGE 40/41 Willys coupe fan and hope to someday own one! This is my duster that i spent 5 years restoring and the black one is my Scamp that was my was my daily driver.
  16. Hi everybody! My name is Kevin i just got back into building about a year ago and have been enjoying every minute of it! I have been lurking here for a while and finally decided to join, i have been absolutely amazed at the quality and detail of builds you guys do! It has inspired me to try my hand at detailing which is something i never have done before, i have done a few engine wirings and now i'm working on the re-issue 1/16 Street Charger that i am running fuel and brake lines. Here's couple pics. of my collection, most have been in my collection for over 20 years.
