Thanks for the compliments guys! I just started on yet another Willys coupe but im gonna take a little more time on it and make the detailing a little better.
Couldn't even afford paint he had to race it in red primer!
This was just a quick build, using Tamiya dull red and Firebird designs decals. Wanted it to come out a bit better but it's not to bad.
What did you use to make the collectors on the headers? I want to try my hand at making headers but haven't been able to find anything that looks right for the collectors.
Finished one of my holy grails a couple weeks ago, had this kit when i was a kid and pretty much destroyed it i finally picked up another one a few months ago and built this.
It's not perfect and only has a little bit of detailing but it's alot better than the first version i built!
Very nice Dr. Cranky! I love these kits also, i have several built but for some reason i seem to be more drawn more to the older Revell HotRod series Willys coupes.
My latest Willys project in mock-up stages, the body and chassis just sitting together to make sure everything is gonna fit correctly before anything gets glued. So far so good!
What did you make the headers out of?
They look really good, i have Hooker Super Comps. on my 1:1 Duster and yours are very similar to them!
Even the tube on the driver side that goes right across the spark plugs and makes them a real joy to change!
I have one that i built when i was 13 yrs old(25 yrs. ago) and won a school model contest with it, i still have it and it's exactly as the day i built and it always will be!
I recently picked up the re-issue of it but i plan on making changes on the latest version.
Looks really good, i really like the color!
I have a bunch of these kits, they aren't the best kits but i love them for some reason! I just picked up 2 more and i'm gonna be getting another one!
