Well I finally finished the motor and permanatly mated it to the chassis. The only part left for this is mounting the radiator and hooking up the hoses and the MSD box, coil and main coil wire. I want to thank Jimmy (Crewdawg15) for building such a great resin motor. It will really be a pleasure to build more of them in the future man. On a second, slightly crappier note. I started the clearing process last night. Well in my haste to get goo build up to polish with I added a second very think coat alot sooner than I should. This caused the large yellow and green tribal to craze slightly under the clear. I tried to wetsand down some to help level it out. Well even just a light touch went through the peaks some and now both sides have a slight weathered cracked sidewalk look to the graphic. The way I see it I have three options. 1. I can say screw it, and leave it like it is and try to polish it out, but I know it wouldn't be my best work. 2. Strip the whole body and start all over. The least appealing option and I don't have duplicates of many of the sponsor decals or the rear decal. 3. I have some spare side graphics. The messed up part is after the sponsor decals and I try to put them on top of the old ones and see if it works. Then re-clear over the sides again.

Hey gang, I have been wanting to build a diorama to be a background for taking pics of finished models or possible in progress shots. I am wanting to do something along the lines of the inside of a old factory or maybe just out side a old industrial building. I am thinking maybe old steel girders maybe lots of bricks. I am asking for suggestions of elements to put in. Websites to get supplies to build such a diorama. Also, if anyone has any good pics of old factory interiors or shots of old industrial buildings. Any help would be great.

Making my own license plates
kingtoy replied to Rob McKee's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wow, those websites are great. I think I will use them and also google image search to make plates. Give me some ideas for the future like making lots of international plates, like Dubai or Russia even China maybe. -

Welcome to north Texas! I am a member and former president of the MCMA. We are a great group of guys and are always eager to welcome new people. Your also just in time to bring something to our annual big contest in March. Hey Vince, good to see your still around buddy. -
Looking great so far. Very clean build, I like it.

Another update, decals are done, now we clear.

Well it is suppose to be a bright color. Alot of professional drift cars are colorful for attention. The carbon fiber doors are just another nod to the import scene. This is just a hot rod only skin deep. It's heart and soul is all japanese.

Thanks, yeah since it is still in progress, I wait till the end to double check tire rotation patterns. They slip off and on real easy so I am not worried at this point.
-
Well the first round of decals are done. This is going to be a long process.

Well here is the finished rear diffuser. Well I finally got some paint on the body. In the pictures it might look look but it is Tamiya Purple.

Now this is a topic I can relly get into. I got some projects I can contribute to this. Here is my 29 Ford truck with a supercharged Acura Integra engine. Here is my 32 Ford roadster drifter with a Toyota 20V 4AG in it. This is one of my most complex builds. I guess thats why it is unfinished. My Ford 360 Modena. A 40 FOrd pipckup with the drivetrain of a Ferrari 360. I also have a 67 Mustang fastback that is going to have a Supra 2JZ twin turbo. I also plan on getting a Charger Daytona and putting a 2JZ in it. Also in the works will be a custom 50 Chevy COE with a rear mounted Allison V-12, and a Superbird with a Ferrari 612 engine, drivetrain and chassis. -
Well it will be mainly purple with carbon fiber decals and lots of tuner decals. It will also have a anime decal on the trunk.
-
Well I got the floor all finished. I am finally ready to start laying some paint and begin the final stages of assembly.

I love this car, so sick looking.

Those are some sick builds I love them. I definately like your style. What Stang are you talking about?
-
Well I finally got my rear diffuser how I want it. I am actually surprised how it turned out. I think it will look killer on the car. Sorry some of them are dark. My camera acts funny sometimes with it's flash.

######, none of those cars inspire me for a build.
