I, too, have entertained ideas about a Volare wagon. I owned a '77 with a 318 in it, and mine had the woody vinyl trim.

The visual evidence (water marks & pumping equipment) means that this car is likely gonna be a MESS! I'm still curious, and will be watching. -
That Galaxie Chevrolet six is one of the best 1:25 scale engine of any type! Their '46-'48 Chevy kits are excellent.
