Gotta love Badger customer service!

Nice to read about that kind of customer service. -
Slick black paint and dog dish hubcaps really give it a sinister look. I like it!

You're just getting even with the guys who put Chevy motors into Toyotas. Looks good!

A Chevy Van Rescue...

That's what I call "direct recycling". You saved a model from landfill oblivion, and made something cool out of it. Thumbs up. -
"new" car designs
W-Machine replied to hellonwheelz3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
How many cars evoke a "love it or hate it" response when new? Maybe that is the benchmark by which styling should be judged. If a design grabs that much of your attention, then maybe it could be considered a success. After all, the '71 Riviera was such a car. Of course, so were the Edsel, AMC Pacer and '74 Matador. Like them or hate them, they were distinctive. I think that the Charger, Challenger, Camaro, Mustang, Chrysler 300, and Cadillac CTS are all distinctive modern designs that will likely hold up well to the test of time, even if some of them strip-mine the past for styling cues. Hopefully, the next generation Mustang does NOT look like a Mustang II. Now that was one UGLY car. -
Thanks for putting up the link. NNL East is AWESOME, isn't it?

10 years dem brakes lasted. 10 years...

My '02 GMC Sonoma had the original factory tires on it until about 2 months ago. At 99,300 miles, they outlasted the tranny and 2 batteries and a bunch of other stuff. The truck is just "OK" but those Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires are GREAT. -
Revell '50 Oldsmobile Club Coupe 2'n1
W-Machine replied to styromaniac's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Seeing the '50 Olds at NNL East really got me stoked! The rep said it would be out in August. I want at least three. -
Thanks for posting all of the pix. NNL East was, as always, one helluva good time.

I can't wait to get my hands on this kit (I want at least 5 of them). I've already sawn the roof off of a '70 Monte Carlo, and gathered up nearly everything else needed to convert one into a '71 Cutlass Supreme (my first car). This kit build/review has revealed quite a lot of information about what to expect, and as a rabid Oldsmophile, I can say without reservation that this is the best scale Olds EVER!

1/25 Revell '72 Hurst/Olds Cutlass Kit
W-Machine replied to W-Machine's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Exotics Builder, I can't thank you enough for posting those photos! Now that I have some idea of what to expect when this beauty hits the shelves, I'm already gathering stuff for the multitude of projects I'm planning for it. All I need is a photo of the box art, so that family members will know EXACTLY what I want for Christmas. Cutlass & 442 fans are gonna love this one, and if chassis detail is consistent with what we've seen from Revell's new releases, it will be the answer to my prayers. -
The announcement of its impending release has got me stoked! (I don't call myself "W-Machine" for nothing!) I'm gonna buy at least 4 of them. I was wondering if anyone has seen a test shot or has any more information about this kit. Revell's web site doesn't have a lot of info, but I'm sure that someone here must know something. Please post if you do!

Looks cool! Next time I see Dave "the Model King" I'm gonna pick up one.

I purchased one of the '72 Torino wagons at NNL East, and lemme tell you, it's a dead ringer for the one my folks bought brand new in the fall of 1971. I'm really looking forward to building this one, as you don't see too many wagons of any kind in scale. As soon as I'm done gathering up the assortment of parts I need for my version, it's a done deal. This is one of the cleanest castings I've ever seen, and this is NOT a paid endorsement, but a real testimonial. By the way, my folks also had a '76 Torino wagon, so if by chance you plan on casting that, here is at least one guaranteed sale.
