  3. Howdy all, There are some great rides in this thread! I'd consider parking my bags and heading to the states simply for the cars that we never see down here! My stuff. DD '03 Holden Statesman. She's just the baby 3.8L V6 (as opposed to the 5.7L V8 also available), and I love that I get better fuel economy in this full sized limo, than my Mrs old Mazda 3! My bike '07 Suzuki Boulevard I fitted the whitewalls, pipes and extra chrome. The thing howls, and I love her! Truck '76 F100 302, C4 She's my first big project, and currently looks like this: Little way to go yet .... Cheers, Denzil

Thanks again guys Slusher: the background, is just my backyard, best lighting available at the time ;-) Darbo: I've never had a problem with them, as long as you put down a primer coat first. The order for the challenger was: Tamiya fine primer , Tamiya gloss black (TS whatever-it-is), then the PS46. All followed by Tamiya clear gloss. The PS46 in particular requires a black base coat for the effect to work. I want to grab the gold/purple paint next, but I haven't decided on what car it would look good on. Decisions decisions.... Cheers, Denzil

    Myers Manx

Great build! Always had a soft spot for the manx
  13. My first was a snap together monogram P40 kityhawk. My dad and I built it when I was 4ish. I've got bits and pieces of it, and I've since bought an identical boxing, For nostalgics sake ! The first one I built myself, I was 5, was the Matchbox Dassault Mirage 2 Seater, and I painted it as an RAAF bird. 24 years later I've still got it :-)

Thanks everyone! Mopar-D: I'll keep that in mind, but also remember, a black engine bay hides many sins Casey- I'll say it was a factory option, that sounds official ;-) Yahshu- yes it is the axle through the engine job. Dan: thanks mate! I have noticed some folks are a bit particular about this and that. Its all good, I'm normally a model aeroplane guy, so I can can dig it ;-) Thanks again all, with all the talent and imagination on display on this forum, I'll be lurking a while longer! Cheers, Denzil
