  1. My apologies it was southern motorsports hobbies that was the 40.00 shipping. The problem I was having with detail master was completing checkout. It owuld not acept visa or paypal, both of which had adequate funds.
  2. Hey all. I am just looking for any canadian location for photoetched parts. Especially for NASCAR stock cars. I tried detail master and other american sites, and the shipping, duty and taxes turned a 9.99 part into 65.99 I about pooped myself. Anyone have any locations ?
  3. I have seen you post a ton of cars over the years. I would love to see a pic of the display you must have set up
  4. Great build. What colour green did you use?
  5. Beautifully done. Everything is just silky smooth.
  6. Wow Eric those are some outstanding finishes.
  7. Glad you stuck with it buddy, it turned out great
  8. Thank you all for your advice. I am glad I didnt just start slapping it on, and asked here first. Would have been mortified to see the color start eating at the plastic.
  9. Very nicely done. I remember doing one of these a LONNNNGGGGG time ago. I had such a huge problem with the decals, didnt matter what decal I tried to put on or how slow I went or what amount of time I soaked it. every single decal would split while attempting to either slide it off the backing or position it on the car. I cursed that car and vowed to never do another DJ car again lol.
  10. Love the kitbashing aspect. Like the way you worked that front end in
  11. holy cow, once in a lifetime opportunity
  12. alot of online racers use RGB hex #004100 to get the green color
  13. I am in Canada as well. Northern ontario, so the majority of my stuff has to come from online. Have you found some good places to order online John? Only ones I have found were online and the shipping for some places was like 40.00 it was outrageous.
  14. Hi all. just a quick question can nail polish be used as paint? I live in a town where I have to order paints to use as their are none available where I live. I am just getting back into the hobby after a very long abcense and the paint I had is no longer any good. My wife, on the other hand, has about 9362 different colours of nail polish. I am wondering if I can utilize these as a paint source. If so what would I use to thin them, as I imagine the paint goes on quite thick. Will this damage the model in any way. Any opinions and info on the topic is greatly appreciated.
  15. ahh ok. What was it about the model that irritated you?
  16. Beautiful RL car, and great build. Am absolutely loving all the reference material in this thread. Quick question and I am sorry if it was answered and I passed it by. The plumbing used on the engine, and oil cooler and whatnot, are they photoetched parts or is it various thickness wire, painted with transparent red and blue? Just curious as the pictures are just the perfect size that my garbage eyes cant make them out lol. Thanks in advance and cheers on the build.
  17. an absolutely beautiful job on the tires and rims
  18. Looking good. Always was a fan of Dales cars. Especially the alternate paint scheme cars
  19. That is coming along great. Love the paint and decal work. I noticed the #44 car in one of your pictures. I just came back to the hobby after some time away, have you posted pics of that build anywhere, where I could take a peek at it?
  20. Very nicely done. I, as well, did not know that T.R ran Indy very cool bit of info. Thank you for sharing the pictures. Just one question, and please do not in any way take it as a criticism, it is not. But were the decals a different scale than the model? Some of them seem to be smaller than the one on the car. It in no way takes away from the appeal of the car. More just my own curiosity I guess. Anyhow, beautifully done.
  21. ran into a small snag. Most of my paints are ruined, I guess from sitting such an extended time in sub optimal temperatures so I have ordered some more. In the meantime while I wait, does anyone have any interior pictures, engine pictures, trunk pictures and whatnot I can use as reference. Does not have to be the exact car, just general idea stuff. I have found a few things. but any regerence material from the 1990-1994 era for Pontiacs would be genuinely awesome. And once the paints arrive that I ordered I will start the pictures
  22. Always enjoyed watching Rusty Wallace, and the #2 car. Back in my 20's I wanted to make a model of every version of every car Rusty drove. And if I ever finished that I would move on to Keselowski. So here is the first one back. First pic is just the setup. Gonna soak and wash everything and prime it so it is a lighter colour. one thing I remember was hating trying to get paint color on Black molded models. So will take the afternoon to watch each tree and prime it. Before starting.
  23. yikes he was just offering some friendly advice, not questioning your building ability...
  24. like wiring diagrams, and engine bay pictures, and things of that sort. Pictures I could use to hyper detail models from those year till now. I will take anything yall ghot.
  25. His black MGD's were by far my favorites. Great build.
