  1. Cause I hate lowriders, but figured i'd build at least one 'Movie Car'. It won't be a focal point of my collection, so i'd rather save the 5.0 engine for something else down the road.
  2. For my Menace 2 Society project. Gonna be curbside, once i figure out how to make a lower splash cover for the chassis to hide the non-engine...
  3. I remember stumbling on a page of someone whom made and was selling a resin cutlass kit with headlamps bumpers and the like. I don't recall what year but it was for that body era depicted,
  4. That chas' is lookin' great too. I haven't tried the one coats yet. I tend to screw up jobs with laquers in the past. Hows this one coat stuff fare?
  5. Thats gorgeous, and in that sunlight looks like it rolled out of the paddock. Nicely done!
  6. hey jon what paint/color is that on the aston?
  7. That's a sharp lookin 33 nice.
  8. Oh okay right on thanks. I'll keep an eye out that built up real nice.
  9. means you can go with an off the cuff style then!
  10. wow that's pretty! i didnt know revell did one. Do u have a pic of the box art by chance?
  11. lookin nice. my best friend did this kit and he curse n swore the whole time. he hated it.
  12. lookin' stellar as always! I really need a Fujimi or Tamiya already..
  13. yeah i get that itch pretty good, and usually stuff i want pops up at unbeatable deals right when im not in a position to buy it seems lol.
  14. The note idea is pretty good. Last year when i was going nuts with Nascar projects i started noting the box with an index card.
  15. I can tell already this is gonna be sweet. nice attention so far
  16. yeah i think best advice is think about what ya like to build and then search all of em and go with the cheapest. also when i find one another site doesnt have i bookmark it and check every week til im ready. most of mine i get on the 'bay for 15 or less after shipping tho
  17. That's lookin awesome!
  18. nice nice i figured thats where the question was heading lol.
  19. TE-37's never get old and neither do R-33's Thats a super job. love it.
  20. Also Chris, if you want I have a couple of the Nascar driver figures. Old style with the open face helmet. You can have one if ya want.
  21. if you're new and jumping in with the C6 another idea if you want is rustoleum 2x coverage sun yellow. It's easy to use, it'll get ya pretty close in visual color, and the can is about $4, if you're in the States. Its what i had in mind when i was gonna do the c5 . for the parts def spray those if you can but one thing to keep in mind on the corvette racers is dry fit stuff til you know how it will go. and once ya glue something give it ample time to rest. a lot of the cage near the rear suspension and what not is pretty measurement sensitive take lots and lots of time. theres some pix of my c5 in my sig. I THINK the c6 guts are similar.
  22. Since most of the cars I like are ones that aren't that interesting right now, or are easily found in dead stock i can buy a couple kits wrapped a month and not have to worry about money. Since My scratch and putty skills are miserable i only buy styrene and putty once a year lol.
