  1. I agree.
  2. Ho man. How did I miss that? Smokin'. I'm stealing your idea.
  3. Glad you mentioned that. There seem to be a fair few people who don't like Foose for some reason that I've never been able to understand. I've met the guy, and besides being as nice as he could be, he's a gifted and skilled artist / illustrator / designer, and knows his stuff doing the demanding and precise physical work that is custom-car building. The respectful treatment he gave this old Barris job makes me like and respect him that much more.
  4. I'd also forgotten about the chopped Victoria roof in that kit. I have a Vic in progress using a roof from one of the Lindberg '53 kits.
  5. I'd forgotten all about that. Good call.
  6. Glue your fingers into your nostrils with CA, and the pretty nurses in the emergency room will know for sure you're not date-worthy.
  7. Much to love right there, Very nice.
  8. Foil the dastardly plans and machinations of those who would outlaw walking and chewing gum at the same time "for your safety".
  9. They're ugly. If you prefer ugliness and incompetent workmanship, that's your right. And in that case, the good news is that there's an inexhaustible supply of both.
  10. "Aluminum" (the word) weighs a little more in the countries where it gets an extra syllable (i) and becomes "aluminium".
  11. Sewer contents of the lumpier variety are routinely found in some folk's heads.
  12. Locking up occasionally around 10:15 PM EDT October 28...and pix not loading. EDIT: 11:15 AM EDT next day, working like a champ.
  13. Haven't seen him yet, but there's been an owl hooting every night for a couple weeks now. He (or somebody that sounds like him) comes around every fall, and as I sleep with my windows open most of the year, I always hear him. Wild turkeys and Canada geese at the office park a few blocks away at times, but not in my yard. Several different species of hawks on occasion though.
  14. Control and power over others is often the desire of insecure personality types.
  15. "Stuff and nonsense" is an idiomatic expression for "absurd foolishness".
  16. Related questions include "do you really want to know what's in those hot-dogs?"
  17. Stomach and organs come from critters that have meat on the outside, however.
  18. Banned meat...oh wait...canned meat-like bug-based imitation animal-protein substitute probably doesn't make the best haggis. https://news.liverpool.ac.uk/2016/01/25/watch-insect-haggis-served-up-for-burns-night/#:~:text=The main ingredient of the,a special vegetarian diet first.
  19. "Hey mang...yoo wanna buy some spray-paint, mang?"
  20. "Etc." covers a multitude of sins.
  21. More stuff from the ACME show, so the AMT oldies part of the stash wouldn't feel left out if I didn't bring a present. Another '60 Ford Starliner, 'cause I've always loved 'em, and I wanna do a Sunliner convertible custom. Never had much interest in the '66 Nova SS until recently, when we had one in the shop that was restomodded by someone who had a very good eye for stance, wheels/tires. etc., and it looked every bit as good as anything on the road. This is, of course, an old kit, it was cheap...and I was very pleasantly surprised that it does not have a blobular chassis with everything molded in, as I'd expected. The one in the shop is a factory 327/350 horse 4-speed car, has a set of these in 18" on it, is mildly tubbed and lowered just enough, has a perfect rubber rake, is finished in a dark brownish red, has a dark camel leather interior, and is absolutely stunning. And fast.
  22. Ah yes, the brave new techie-ticky-tacky-tokky world. Ain't it great?
