  1. these kits won't be released until mid next year.
  2. I love gold leaf. haven't used it for modelling, but have for theatre sets. there are so many different uses for leaf.
  3. looks good, definitely on my shopping list
  4. thanks bill. looks great. I still haven't worked out what to paint mine yet!
  5. thanks for the pointers Tom. I'm gathering bits and pieces for my build, your tips will come in handy for my build. Is the paint an automotive paint?
  6. we call the bonneted scania's in Australia "Gum boots" I like the look of this so far!
  7. great work! I have the same kit, can't wait to start it.
  8. thanks mark. what sort of truck do they use? any pics of the trucks? thanks
  9. there are pics of lonestars and prostars with a vent on the side of the cab, which would be under the bed. what is in them? just electronics? loving the interior detail. great stuff
  10. Hello all. Just wondering what companies are there in America that are used to tour music shows? Shows like the big concerts and operas, ballets and musicals? Just wondering as in Australia we have 3 or 4 major companies that do this sort of work, and I work for a local company in Brisbane that cart backline and sound and lighting equipment. Thanks
  11. the word from the company is that the kits will be priced close to what most kits are being released at now. so they could be priced from $90AUD to $150AUD. Hopefully won't be priced anywhere near the price of the metal trucks. I think they are priced more for the serious collector, not the hobbyist like we are.
  12. so the prostar has an apu on the frame, and another unit under the bunk? are they linked together? sorry, trying to get my head around it. in Australia most trucks run an apu unit called and icepack. they are basically small diesel generator that run an airconditioning unit in the cab, and also supply power to pints inside the cab.
  13. hello all, hope you don't mind me asking a couple of questions about the real trailers. (btw I just bought the Moebius Prostar, and what a kit! I really can't wait to get stuck into it!) Just wondering with the length (53ft), why do they only have 2 axles? how much weight can they carry? In Australia we are limited to certain trailer lengths, mainly 44ft, and the majority of those trailers have 3 axles. just wondering as i'm now planning on getting one of these trailers to stick behind the prostar. thanks
  14. I have the CMK photo etch set, it has the grille in it for the apu unit that looks like its under the bunk on one side of the truck. would those trucks have the unit on the back of the cab as well? sorry to be a pain(e), does the couch convert to a bed? or can you chose to get a bed instead of the couch? I want to put a bed into my cab when I build it.
  15. where do you get the details like the gps from? i'm looking for some interior stuff for my trucks. kfs resin in England do a really good resin set, but I haven't seen any gps units.
