  1. great work so far! i'm following this as I have the kit as well, it will be my second truck kit. did your truck have the airconditioning/heater box mounted on the back of the cab? slightly off topic, how did the prostar drive? (I/m a truck driver here in Australia)
  2. awesome work! might have to get a set of these now!
  3. looking good. what do you use the aluminium wire for?
  4. common on the Australian version of these trucks
  5. hey guys, where could I get plans of heavy rescue trucks? I have a couple of cranes, and was thinking of using one for a rescue truck. Thanks, Matt
  6. that is a beautiful paint job. fantastic work!
  7. no, they are all left handed kits. You have to buy aftermarket dash's to convert them to right hand drive. And 99% of the kits are single drive rears, where most of the scanias and european trucks in australia are twin rear drive. we have heaps up here in queensland. The firies (QFRS) have heaps of the Crew cabs as fire trucks, but now seem to be moving to the Mercs. We use 3 scania 6x4 prime movers, and 2 scania twin steer 8x4 rigid trucks at work. I love driving the scania rigids! both are very comfortable, and have the automated manual transmission, so they are easy to drive!
  8. jesus mate! anirudh you sure get around! from armourama to here. great job on the truck!
  9. great work! the silver and blue go together really well!
  10. hey mate. what are the differences in hoods from the aussie and american versions?
  11. it is in a way. there are a few scania and international trucks that are in red or fluro green, but i have seen a few pics of the bigger ones in cam, i think they usually use them for a more tactical setting
  12. Hello all. I was given the 1/24 Revell Shlingmann fire tuck a few months ago, as a mate had bought the kit only for the ladders. He started the chassis then gave it to me. As soon as l got it, i knew i was going to do something different with it. At the moment it's about 99% finished, have to put on the wing mirrors and make up some decals.
  13. that looks soooooo coool!
  14. I use Ajax powder cleaner. in a sink run some water, pour some powder on the bottom of the sink, and use a toothbrush to pick up somepowder, scrub the resin with it. It gets the mould release off and give a surface for the paint to stick to.
  15. i've used tamiya putty, and the super glue/baking soda. You fill the gap with the glue first, then sprinkle the baking soda over it. it sets pretty quickly and very hard.
  16. there used to be a couple of newer model ones kicking around here in brisbane. don't think they were very populat though.
  17. hey mate, got pics of the 4x4?
  18. nice looking kit. i have parts of the esci kit, but need 1 of the floor pans to finish it. would ilateri send me one?
