  1. Killer build Rich! Ron beat me to the comment, but the guys at "Gas Monkey" would be proud. Who know's maybe "JR" will be giving you a call! All kidding aside...this looks as good as the real one!
  2. Beautiful build Shane.
  3. Two really cool little "T's" Jesus! I love the look of the " The White Demon"!
  4. Nice restoration Tom. The two tone paint really looks good!
  5. Thanks for posting the photos Mike, and congrats on your awards!
  6. Tom, Thanks for posting the photos and taking the time to give me some tips on BMF and paint. You even had a photo of my car in the mix. Mark
  7. Glad ya found it James. If you want some real inspiration, Google Chuck Doan. He's responsible for alot of what I have put into this. Thanks to all of you for the great compliments!
  8. Wow Erik this is really cool. It's kind of a cross between, "Don't even think about it", and, "Honey get the kids. We're late for Church". Nice job!
  9. Love the color, and the wide whites Justin. Cool lookin' car!
  10. Nice lookin' hot-rod Steve. It's got that "I built it in my garage" look! Nice job!
  11. Thanks for all of the great comments Guys. I build maybe two models a year, so it's nice to receive some support from the community. Mike.....fooled ya! I've recently gotten some good advice in the use of BMF. Up until this point I would rather take out my own gall bladder with a spoon, but after speaking with a couple of well established modelers, I think that I will give it another shot. As to the '59, well the car was masked off and painted with Dupli-Color Chrome. Photos can be deceiving!
  12. Phil, This is a great idea for a "Post". Thanks!
  13. FANTASTIC! Great build Steve! The photo looks like it's straight out of the pages of "Street Rodder". Really incredible looking model! Everything about it is right on the money!
  14. You're right Fred, this is exactly as it should look. Beautiful build! Great choice of color and the scripts look great. And last but not least...."Cragers"! I love 'um! I think that if they would put them on a Prius I might even like that! (Not really)
  15. Another "Killer-Car" Shane! Beautifully done! I love the choice of the Centerline's. They give the car a real attitude. I want one!
  16. Grumpa

    1966 Mustang

As usual Carl...a clean, beautiful build!
  17. Very COOL Paul! Great color, and I've got a thing for "Torq Thrusts". Great choice of wheels!
  18. Why not Kerry! Pretty cool little ride!
  19. Thanks James. No "WIP" on the garage, but I did dig through the "DIORAMA" section of this forum, and pulled up my post. It gives a pretty good description of what I used. I've also attached a few photos. Thanks Ron. This was kind of a whim build. Doc, I started building around '62 and I to remember taking my lawn cutting money (all $2.00 of it) down to one of two local hobby shops in my small town (try to find just one now) and having a hard time picking out what I wanted. I just recently have bit the bullet and purchased about five early AMT kits from 1960 up till '64 for about 250 times of what that original cost of $2.00 was. Hope my wife doesn't find out.
  20. Here ya go James.
  21. Thanks Ira. Yea Rich...they are. "MVP304"...1.3mm. Drilled a small hole to recess them into. I used their lenses on the headlights as well. Darn things are getting hard to come by. I used to get them from some fellow, can't remember his web-site at the moment, but it seems that he has shut down his site. Oh well. Let me know if you have a good source as I have several early AMT kits that I want to use their lenses on.
  22. This is an absolutely beautiful build Richard. I've got one of these promos in the closet and seeing what you have accomplished on this makes me want to jump on mine. I saw this in "On The Workbench" and I've got a '57 Chevy interior that I'm going to try to adapt. Hopefully mine comes out looking half as good as this. Wow....it is nice!
  23. Very COOL Ron!
  24. This is a restored 1959 issue of the '59 Chevy Impala introduced by SMP. Model had been previously built, but unpainted. Disassembled by a previous owner with the exception of the windshield. Some careful surgery allowed the windshield to be removed without any further damage other then the ususal scratches from 54 years of existance. Thanks to NOVIS polish the windshield was restored. With the excetion of the mirrors from Modelhaus, dice from J B Hobby's, scratchbuilt exhaust tips, and wheels from Pegasus, the parts are all original to the kit. The chrome needed a little brush touch-up using Alclad. Here are a few photos of the finished build. I hope that you enjoy them.
  25. As usual...it was a great show Kenny! You guys do a really nice job. The quality of the 200 plus models on the tables was outstanding. As always, I was humbled, but was able to get a few tips from a couple of great guys, and picked up a few good parts. Now if I can only master "BMF"! Thanks! Can't wait for next year!
