Something I rarely do is Box Stock anything. But this one is for our daughter who fell in love with this body style at a car show last year...

G'day guys. I have for you today my box stock AMT 53 Ford crestline sunliner. I bought this kit because I was attracted to the box art. The only changes are the twin antennas and a lowered stance. Thanks for looking. All feedback is welcome and appreciated. Cheers, David. ??

Haven’t built a truck in 30 years. Bought this lit for $17 on a whim last year. And wanted to challenge myself with a first time weathering attempt. Goal was to do a Nevada -Texas truck that had some miles that were all in the dry climates. Here is the cab finished tonight. The tanker will be picked up in Texas when we can find a driver, probably Monday.

Just finished this fun, quick build. It’s the Revell metal body, pre-painted kit. I used Tamiya Intermediate Blue (AS-19) on the engine. Toned down the marker and backup lights with Tamiya Smoke acrylic.

Finished this one up a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't post any pics until now since it was for a box stock build-off for one of my facebook groups that ended on Dec. 1. It's the Revell 1968 Corvette Roadster done box stock with the only addition being approved BMF for the trim. This is a really nice kit and I had a lot of fun building it. The kit was painted with Chroma Molten Metals Acrylic craft paint custom mixed by my wife which I then sprayed through my airbrush, making it my very first airbrush paint job. The interior was also craft paint through my airbrush, as was the chassis. In fact, everything except a few small parts and certain details was done with craft paints (about 95% of the car) and mostly sprayed through the airbrush. The toughest part of the whole thing , I think, was picking out which pics to use for the contest. I like the looks of each variation-- No top, Soft top and Hard top-- so I ended up using one pic of each for the three allotted body shot angles. I am still learning new things, but the biggest thing I still need to learn is to be more patient and not to rush. Thanks for looking!

Well after a 5 year break I have decided to start this bad habit agin. I thought my wife was going to shoot me becuse I have around 40 unbuilt kits already but when I saw this Firebomb for $26 bucks on ebay and also I built one when I was a kid in 76, so I was hooked. I look from time to time and they usually between $50 & $100. So I saved her some money. Thas what she would say to me if she bought somthing at a good price. Any way I decide to keep it simple and just have fun so I do not get burnt out agin. I plain to buld it box stock but clean and move some stuff around to make it just a little different. The mock up below shows what I mean. I never liked the fire hose on the front so I am going to move the latter up and it back, and sence its back there I figuered it mad sence to put the gauge panal back there too, that leaves me room for the fire decals on both sides. Wish me luck. Lazlow Ps. one part is missing and one is broke off and gone so over in the want area I have posted hopfuly to find them. Ineed one of the big sirens and one side of the injecter stacks, and maby a copy off some ones directions so I can take it to a show if it comes out alright.
