gray07
My question is I just traded for the revel 53 chevy, iam not a lowrider builder, but many moons ago I built monograms 53 chevy, it was blue with blue flames, iam wandering if the front spoiler and grille will fit this one and maybe the tires and rims, hate to look for this stuff if it dosent fit. thank you
Eshaver
Gray, the Monogram kit of a 53 Bel Air was 1-24th . The Revell Bel Air sedan was 1-25th . I can't exactly remember what parts were in what as I build stock . A spoiler from a 1-24th car will be a good two Millimeters wider
Greg Myers
Revell 1/25th scale Monogram 1/24th. With a little modeling finess you could make it fit.
Mark
The Revell lowrider is the ex-Monogram 1/24 scale hardtop, so the custom parts from the earlier Monogram kit will fit. The Revell two-door sedan was never issued as a lowrider.
LDO
All this 1/24 vs 1/25 business relies on model companies making perfectly sized parts. Just give it a try. See if it fits. Maybe it will fit. Maybe it needs a little finessing.
Greg Myers
So, if it's this one yer in business. or even this one and this one too But you'll have to come up with this guy for the Scoop and Spoiler you mentioned. in here as well Edited March 14, 2015 by Greg Myers
Atmobil
The 53 Chevy lowrider version I got (the middle one of the top pictures) does include front spoiler, hood scoop and other customparts from the original Monogram version. Too me it looks like they just added lowrider rims and tires and lowered suspension and some other lowrider stuff but apart from that it is the same as the old kit. It is also molded in white wich is a good thing for painting.
gray07
thanks for the info, I opened the kit tonight after asking question, and all the stuff is in the kit that I was looking for.
Greg Myers
So thanks to you we still have a nice little thread about the Monogram / Revell '53 Chevy kits.
Bob Ellis
The original Revell 1/25 '53 Chevy is a 210, I believe. '53 was the last year you could get a 210 as a convertible. Chop off the roof!
