Casey Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Dan's(?) products are very nice from what I've seen, and it looks like this Cummins diesel engine might be a new addition to the lineup?: Not sure if he sells direct or not, but here's what he offers on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/cipmodels/m.html?item=221705623599&hash=item339eaf582f&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
Fat Brian Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Casey, isn't this by the guy in Romania that did the 65 Ford with the dump bed and the Kenworth log truck? Here is the engine: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cummins-Diesel-Engine-1-25-scale-resin-kit-/221705623599?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item339eaf582f Here is the Ford cab: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-N-950-1965-full-cab-1-25-resin-kit-/221715575974?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item339f4734a6 And here is the Kenworth: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kenworth-924-Logger-Full-cab-1-25-scale-resin-kit-/221705649449?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item339eafbd29 These look like incredible but they're pretty spendy.
Casey Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Casey, isn't this by the guy in Romania that did the 65 Ford with the dump bed and the Kenworth log truck? Yes, that's him. I think he's posted here a few times, but I can't recall his member name at the moment. As for the price, it appears to be a good value considering what you get in terms of the number of separate pieces, as well as the quality of the work which went into making the master.
Fat Brian Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 It's a great value no doubt, these look like they have less flash than some new kits.
Ben Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Be careful with Dan Models! While the product is excellent, the wait to get the parts is not! I have a friend on here that never received his order.
Dave Toups Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I have the complete Ford N-Series kit from Dan Models. It took about 5 months to get and it was expensive. The parts are very well done. The Cummins engine is extremely well detailed. The seller was very nice to deal with, but you have to have patience.
caryfoster1 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I bought the Ford N from him too , even got it fairly fast.. I ordered the f750 from him several months later, never received it. Also never heard back from him after I filed a complaint. Finally got my money back fromEbay.. Buyer beware Cary Foster
Bowtienutz Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I placed an order through ebay for some of his products. I exchanged a few emails he said my order was shipped yet he couldn't provide a tracking number. He sent resent another. after waiting another 6 weeks and more emails I proviided ebay copies of all his email and paypal refunded my money. Only thing unfair is that I could leave bad feedback on him because it beyond the window to leave feedback. I'm sure his feedback does not reflect his true dealings. I've seen his products I'd like to deal with him but I just can't take the chance of the deal going wrong again and ebay telling me sorry we helped you once but ....
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Thanks for the heads up guys! I came so close to ordering that engine. I guess it was good that I waited.
guitarsam326 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I want that engine bad as it is an h series that is need for a project.....but 60 some dollars for an engine.....nope!
CheezyTrucker Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 I have his engine and it is fantastic. It's such a great casting I'm reluctant to assemble it. I purchased it on eBay and it did take a while to receive it but his deals are fair and trustworthy.
leafsprings Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 I purchased the N 950, F 850 and F 600 Fords over the last 3 years, they are all masterpieces, worth every penny. There was a wait time, but I received all my orders. I believe Dan's son, Cip has taken over. The Cummins engine looks fantastic, it appears to be a NHRS, the supercharged version of the old external fuel line 220.
