I'd like some suggestions on this build. My Dad built this truck years ago and over the years of moving it from shelf to shelf, house to house it's endured some wear and tear as you can tell. I want to fix it. My concern is taking it apart. What would you guys do? How far would you go with a rebuild? It does have some sentimental value to it being that my Dad has passed so I'd like to do a good job on it and keep it around for years to come. Thanks for your time. I follow On The Workbench and look forward to hearing from you builders.

If it holds sentimental value because your dad built it I think you should just reassemble it. I'm sure someone could provide a copy of the instructions if needed.

IF you want just to repair you can fix and repair whats loose and broken. iF you have many loose parts you might want to redo the whole thing and use as many of the kits original parts as you can. You might need another kit to replace broken and lost parts...

agree with above only repair what needs it, keep your Dads work intact.

Thanks guys. I think the last two replies summed it up for me. I'll fix what needs fixed and leave it as is.
