BLOODBANE Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Heres another one for my wife..... For those that think its a liitle out of scale, here is the real one.... Yes its her JEEP, I dont like the thing. She said she wanted a JEEP, she found this one, and I bought it for her a couple of years ago. Its mainly a street queen though. I have my serious wheelers, so I let her keep the thing (and she lets me keep all mine). Anyways enjoy the CJ, it started life as the Monogram kit. I added in the suspension lift and So-Real Swampers. Rims are a little off, but its close enough....
MGL Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Nice job but now your going to have to get her some matching wheels!
espo Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Your wife sound like my wife when it comes to Jeeps. She has gotten me into the whole off road thing now. We'll be at the Jeep Jamboree at Land between the Lakes in Kentucky next month. Great looking CJ, what engine are you going to use ?
djmcguire Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 What tires and wheels are those and what size do they 'scale' out to?
BLOODBANE Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 The wheels and tires are a set of So-Reals that I picked up off of E-Bay (I think thats the only place to get them anymore, and then they only come up once in a while). B&L Resins has them in resin. I think B&L has them listed as 44's (a little bigger than the 38's on the real JEEP). The work pretty well with a 1.20 scale rim (I used a set of So-Real Boggers on my Hi-Jacker FORD Van)
mikemodeler Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 You might be able to find those wheels/tires at RPP Hobby. Nice Jeep!
jacoballardtattoo Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Coming along real nice. I am a die hard Jeep freak myself and love seeing people build then. I like that you showed the 1:1 for the scale, the real one is not my kind of Jeep (ties are way to big to stuff under any real travel) but the model is looking dead on. I'm waiting to get a few of my current projects done then I'm gonna try and replicate my 05 TJ unlimited.
