TROOPERFRANCO Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 were did you get the hood scoop for the hood I'd like to do that Mercury also please keep all of us posted on this one!! The AMT Ford 49 Coupe that i built came with two scoops. I used the second one with some scratch styrene to conform it to the new hood.
TROOPERFRANCO Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 Very cool Idea. I was thinking about this myself at some point. What engine are you planning? Mmmm, im still thinking about it, and how to adapt the NOS system.
jacoballardtattoo Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 At this point all that's shown is the addition of the scoop, but just that has me interested! The scoop looks prefect like it should have come that way from the start.
MGL Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I remember around the time this movie came out I think Hot Rod magazine did a small article about the car but I just did a search on the internet and couldn't find it and my stack of old magazines is long gone. Nice start on a cool movie car, can't wait to see the rest.
Pim Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Cool car I read somewhere that this car had a nitrous sniffing small block Chev

W-31 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Awesome car. Remember the Hotrod issue, the car had a small block chevy with a B+M 144 supercharger with a nitrous kit also! One of my favorite movie cars. Great idea!
TROOPERFRANCO Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 Some updating.......... I used some tamiya putty to cover some holes and seams.

TROOPERFRANCO Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 After some researching i decided to completely modify the hood scoop and made it from scratch styrene. I think this is more accurately with the movie car.
