Ed's Merc....1963

My friend Ed built this back in 1963. After much history with the model, I was given the car after Ed passed away 3 weeks ago. It will remain tnis way.

Yes, I agree that it should stay the way it is. I would obtain another Merc and the custom bits (57 Chevy kit maybe) and build a newer version to set beside it.

This is the front of the car. Ed used a '58 Chev fitted to the Merc. The rear is indeed the custom option from a '57 Chev. Keep in mind, this was built in the EARLY 60s by a Canadian kid. I liked his attitude!

That is some vision from a kid. It will not be hard to get the parts to recreate his work.

A nice tribute to your friend. I have a few models in my collection that were created by friends who have left us, and it's comforting to have them safely on my shelf.

Interesting build you have there, and if it were mine I'd just dust it off and put it in a display case. There are plenty of Merc kits out there for you to build.
