IceMan Collections Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 (edited) This one is done. I so much enjoyed this one. Parts from a few kits. If you remember this started as a 1940 Ford pickup kit, then a lot of it ended up staying in the box.1940 Ford PickupBed - 1934 Ford PickupFrame - R&D Deuce metal FrameExtras from different other kits, parts box and aftermarket brands - Skulls, Moon tank, radiator& cap, hoses, tailgate chains, taillights, headers, stacks, headlights, steering wheel, dash details, ignition coil and strap, rims and tiresScratch built or homemade - wiring, bed floor, headlight brackets, taillight brackets, steering wheel column, seat cover and firewall electrical boxesI think that's it. Foxer Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I like the look of this. The weathering is well done and not OVER done. Is that a steering wheel on the underside above the rear axle?
Sixties Sam Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Nice rat! Well done weathering and chop. The wiring detail on the firewall is a nice touch, too! Good work! Sam
towman1271 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Gotta agree on the weathering.. Nice simple details to make it look great
IceMan Collections Posted May 3, 2015 Author Posted May 3, 2015 Thank you all. I really appreciate your comments. First time using this weathering technique and I'm hooked. Foxer - That's the electric radiator/fan. Stole it from a NASCAR kit.
christian-w Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I always like to see such hot Hot Rods - I'd like to do this some days.
IceMan Collections Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Thanks Christian. Lots of inspiration on this site and many others.
