4-71 or 6v53 but they were rare in those trucks. I,ve also seen the 3208 Cats in them but most had either 350 small blocks or 366 0r 427 big blocks

Hi guys

Thanks a lot for all this onformation. All that details help a lot. I will drop the waste gate valve this evening. And driptroit that is not critic all this advices help me a lot to make this modell as real as possible. I do have a question abaout the water tubes for the cabin heater. Where are they mounted on the engine?

Generally there are several plugs in those two areas where water outlets can be placed. The 6v-92 pictured seems to have two sets of hoses. One set may be for a coolant filter, but this gives the general idea of where to run your hoses. The 8v-92 gives a clearer picture. I'm looking forward to seeing this one finished!

I had long forgotten that more often than not, these things had a manual shut off gate valve in highway applications. My final years in this racket was off highway and had been forgotten. I got a 1/16 8V92 I am working on for a General and will need to go back and fab some up.
