I've been thinking of trying my first resin car (available body only) with an already chopped body. My main problem is losing the windshield and the other windows from the donor kit. If I have to use a flat plastic, what is the best, clearest, most scratch-resistant plastic available for modelers, and what thickness would you recommend?

I would have to suggest using acetate sheets. You should be able to find them in various thickness too.

I have heard the word "acetate", but HobbyLinc has no sheets using this as a search term - does this go by any other name? Also, what thickness do you recommend?

Have you bought a dress shirt lately? I have used the clear plastic that they use to make the caller stand up.

I like Evergreen clear styrene sheets. If you look at Harry's builds, he gets excellent results from Lexan.

What is Harry's membername?

I've used clear styrene for other things in the past, and it is far from scratch-resistant. I'm looking for something better... B)

What exactly is the Future for?

The children :D

.010 Lexan or clear acetate sheet should work fine.

The search function here and Google *could* be your friends if you let them :)

Haha! Very appropriate!

I have been able to find Lexan .020 - would that be just as good?
